Greetings my hive nation, trust you are all doing well. The question if people really care about you or what you can do for them is really a necessary question to tackle.

βLast week I was talking to a friend who displayed his anger about the action of a particular guy that was helped. He said to me that, this man had helped a particular family in so many ways, help them in getting things that support their daily living, even in the aspect of schooling. But on a fateful day, this man ( the helper ) was so busy and was in a middle of a situation which he knew that the guy that he has been helping can come over to assist him fix some of those things. He picked up his phone called the guy and explained the assistance he needed from the guy. The guy bluntly refuse to go without any serious reasons. My guy who narrated the story said the man nearly cried, seeing someone he has been helping refuse to come assist him fix some stuff while he was busy.

βThe truth about this life that I keep telling people is, people have short memory span over the good things you do for them, some will only be loyal so far as they are getting what they want from you. In as much as you can provide, they loyalty will be there and the most painful part of this thing is that most of them have nothing to offer to you. They make the relationship so parasitic. I had a friend who would only remember that you exist when ever she needed your help or assistance to sort out some challenges. I carefully noticed that her behavior and truly part of her. So I decided to ignore her about two times when she reached out again. After the two times, she knew that I know what she was doing, since then she never returned again to make any request. And this made me think, why people are behaving this way. They don't care about you, whether you are surviving or not, they only care about what they can benefit from you, the very day you can't provide again, the turn to the next client.

βSo take care of yourself ,help those that you can with an open mind without expecting anything in return because nobody really cares.

Most people are only close to us and friends with us for their own gain, nothing more. Even if they extend help to you, it is because they know they will get something more in return.
