Help me say Amen !

In life one day we will all go back to our creator , but the big question is always , when you leave the world what will you leave behind , what will people remember you for ? That's when a good legacy comes into play. Legacy is something that is left behind that impacts others positively and it's used to remember the person who left it.

‎Some people live a life that after their existence on earth nothing is left to remember them for. Some people spend their money to acquire wealth, position, titles, awards , cars , houses and one the when they are no more all those things becomes invaluable especially if it's something that had an expiry date or if there is no other person to manage those things for him/her. It is worthy to note that the positions we acquire, the money we made, the cars we bought and the things we acquired will eventually become stories of the past one day. But one thing that we will always be remembered for is , how many people we impacted positively while on earth, how many lives we touched, that project that you carried out that people still benefit even when you pass on.

‎For me , and don't want my legacy to be measured only by what I owned or the wealth and titles that I acquired. I want to be remembered for the lives I touched positively, the knowledge I shared, the people I encouraged to take a bold step that changed their lives, I want my legacy to be measured by how many children that went to school because of my , how many people I supported with learning materials, the community services that I carried out that touched lives, the people that I feed , the people I supported to grow. I want someone to be able to say, "Because of this person, I had a chance." I want someone to work up to me and say, because of you I was offered an appointment in that firm, because of you I am a graduate doing well today, because of you I acquired this skill that is putting food on my table today, because of you my community had a good school, health facility, good road and water, because of you electricity was restored in my community.

‎To me, legacy is not necessarily about doing something extraordinary or something very big. Sometimes, it is about consistently doing that little thing that make life better for someone else.

‎I will leave a positive footprint in the sands of my time. And so shall it be , Amen.
