Florian Wirtz Not Fitting Into Liverpool Squad

It has not been the start that many Liverpool fans hoped for, as Florian Wirtz, who was acquired by Liverpool from Bayern Leverkusen during the last summer window. Liverpool had the most active movement on the transfer market window and also spent a lot in recruiting players like Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak and other players. Florian Wirtz, a promising young midfielder who was having a great season, decided to join Liverpool even though he had offers from Bayern Munich and other top European clubs.

The German midfielder only wanted Liverpool, and even when the negotiation was taking time as some doubted if the deal would happen, Florian Wirtz still made it clear that he would wait for Liverpool. Many Liverpool fans had high hopes that Florian Wirtz would be a game-changer for Liverpool in the midfield and would be a major force in the attack, but now that expectation has gone low with his recent performances this season. The question is, does Florian Wirtz fit in Arne Slot's team, or does the German international still need time to adapt?

It's no surprise Liverpool is currently having a bad run in all competitions this season. There are a lot of problems happening in the squad, which is a lot to discuss, and now it seems the team is nowhere near getting back into serious action and starting to win matches. Florian Wirtz has lost form, which is obvious from his game performance this season, and I have seen a post on X calling him 007, which I never expected to see a Liverpool player fall into that category, but it happened with Florian Wirtz.

Many have suggested that Florian Wirtz should be on the bench for some time since he is not giving the performances expected from him, and slowly integrate him into the team. I asked myself if it would not be better for him to get more game time to be able to find his place in the team. It is clear that Florian Wirtz is facing challenges in performing at the club, and that sidelining him would just make the situation even good for the youngster. I am not ruling out a comeback for Wirtz because I know he is that player with incredible quality.

The season is still long, so there is a lot of time for improvement, and hopefully, we get to see the best version of Florian Wirtz this season. Liverpool is having it rough, but I trust the team to get back in form soon. So that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
