FC Barcelona Beat Real Madrid To Be Crowned Copa Del Rey Champions
What a match it was between FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid last night in the Copa Del Rey final. It was just like I predicted yesterday evening. As expected, the match was going to be intense and entertaining between the two sides, and there was always going to be drama between these two clubs. Before the match, there was already tension between Real Madrid and the referee that officiated the game last night, and as I predicted, Real Madrid's tactic worked on the referee as he ignored a lot of potential penalties for Barcelona, which the referee failed to call for the Catalan side.
It was as if Barcelona was playing with twelve men on the pitch last night, but still, it was not enough for Real Madrid fans and players as they still complained that they experienced bad officiating from the referee. The level of complaining and disgusting behaviour from Real Madrid players is on another level this night, especially from Rudiger, who, in my opinion, should be given up to 12 matches ban for trying to assault the referee last night. According to reports, Rudiger is expected to face a 4-12 match band for his act against the referee, but I won't be surprised if it is swept under the rug because Real Madrid, as usual, always has their way with anything.
Barcelona's win last night was not just a win for them but was also justice for football because everything that happened in the match was a programme for Barcelona to lose last night. Barcelona won 3-2 against Real Madrid with Pedri, Ferran Torres and Kounde making the scoresheet for Barcelona, while Mbappe and Tchouameni were on the scoresheet for Real Madrid. It was comeback for a comeback between both sides, but in the end, FC Barcelona stood strong as Jules Kounde sealed the victory for Mbappe in the 115th minute of the match.
The match was so intense that the full 90 minutes was not enough for both teams to steal a win. Lamine Yamal was incredible last night as he provided two assists in the match, which was key to Barcelona's victory. Jules Kounde finally got his big moment for Barcelona with the goal he scored in the 115 minutes and I can promise it will go down in history books as one of the biggest goals in El Clasico. Barcelona is on the right path to win a treble this season as Laliga and UCL are now the two titles on the list for Barcelona to win this season.
Hansi Flick now has won two trophies in his first season as Barcelona manager against Real Madrid twice, which is incredible from the German manager this season. Yesterday, I highlighted in my post that Hansi Flick has never lost a final in his managing career, and that record still stands today. FC Barcelona's focus will now be on their Champions League match this coming Wednesday against Inter Milan at home, which is a must-win for the Catalan giant. It is going to be a tough game, but with the form Barcelona is having they could pull it off against Inter Milan. So guys this is where I say goodbye. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
