In five days the biggest match in club football history will be played as FC Barcelona will go head to head against Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey final. This will be the third time both teams will be meeting this season. In the two previous clashes, Barcelona showed dominance against their arch-rivals, beating them 4-0 at the Bernabeu last year and later at the start of the year, beating them 5-2 in Saudi Arabia to win the Spanish Super Cup. There is no doubt that this season Barcelona has been the better side overall in all competitions than Real Madrid.

Real Madrid this season has not been what many hoped they would be at the start of the season. This same team was said to be unstoppable with the players they had on the team at the start of the season. The hype was there, and many fans said that FC Barcelona had no chance against Real Madrid this season. What has happened so far now is nothing more than a reality check for all the people who said Barcelona was not going to be dominant against Real Madrid this season.

Barcelona are still in the Champions League, and we can't say the same for Real Madrid, as they got kicked out by Arsenal last week. Barcelona are league leaders with four points ahead of Real Madrid on the table. It's also important to note that at the start of the year, Real Madrid was at the top of the league table and leading Barcelona with 10 points, but the Galacticos bottle that lead and are now behind Barcelona. This El Clasico match coming up in the next couple of days is important for both sides as Barcelona could get closer to their dream of winning a quadruple this season, while Real Madrid could finish the season with a trophy.

This won't be the last El Clasico this season as both teams are going to face each other in Laliga and I can say that match could decide the league this season. FC Barcelona are currently ahead with goal differences and head-to-head stats, so no matter the outcome of the El Clasico match next month, I think they still have a better chance of winning the league at the end of the season. It is going to be an interesting couple of weeks because these two teams never fail to deliver a top-notch performance when they go head-to-head against each other in any competition.

Barcelona are currently facing injury problems as their top striker, Robert Lewandoski, picked up an injury in their match this weekend against Celta Vigo. It has been confirmed that the Polish striker is expected to miss the El Clasico and the match against Inter Milan so he will probably be out for three weeks. It's a big blow for Barcelona but it should allow Ferran Torres to play more minutes and deliver as he has been doing this season. So let's see what happens in five days when these two giants meet on the pitch. So this is where I say goodbye. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
