The Batman 2004's Man-Bat from Mattel

The universe reminded me that it is on my side by giving me the gift of synchronicity. It has been said that what you think, you become, and what you think the most becomes your reality.

This was shown to me when I was on an online group of action figures enthusiasts, where someone posted a figure of Man-Bat in his collection.

Now I am a big fan of this character, and I was mind-blown that I haven't seen that kind of Man-Bat figure before. I wasn't aware of its existence at all.

However, its toy line has a Batman figure which I possessed, which is shown below.

I told the commenter that I liked his Man-Bat and I wished I could have one.

And voila! The universe obliged. Very shortly, it showed the same Man-Bat figure being sold online near me. The first blessing was that it was very, very cheap, which delighted me since I was very cash-strapped due to being recently laid off.

The figure is very nice!

The second blessing was a blessing in disguise. Shortly after receiving the product (it was a vintage piece and had no packaging anymore), I noticed that there were more damage in the figure than what the seller declared. These are shown below.

Aside from one tear in the wing, there were also two more tears which were not declared prior to the sale.

Also, the transparent plastic that attached and supported the wing to its frame was already broken off.

Upon noticing these issues, I messaged the seller and sent the pictures of the damage.

He said that he didn't notice those and that the figure was very old and he wasn't well-versed in that figure line.

He apologized and offered to refund the figure in full. Now the figure is free, and all I spent on it was the shipping fee.

What was initially a letdown became a blessing because of the seller's kindness. I offered to rate him 5 stars as a token of my appreciation. Thank you, sir!

Thank you too, universe, for giving me a rare find that would not have been normally available in my part of the world. Now I know never to doubt you!
