Are You Thinking, or Is AI Thinking for You?

Greetings to everyone.
I’m @nishanahamed, back again in the SciFi Multiverse Community to share some thoughts and feelings with you all.

This week’s topic is “AI and the Digital Space.”

As soon as I saw the topic, a flood of thoughts rushed through my mind.
To me, this isn’t just a technological subject—it feels deeply personal.

We’re living in a time where technology doesn’t just help us from the outside; often, it feels like it’s creeping inside our minds.
AI is no longer a distant concept.
The moment I wake up and pick up my phone, AI tells me what to listen to, what to watch—even how to think.

At first, I used to like it.
It felt like everything was getting easier.
But now, sometimes, it gives me chills.
It feels like the screen already knows what I’m thinking.
And then I wonder—Is this really my thought? Or someone else’s design?

I know, AI isn’t to blame.
We’re the ones who created it.
And it’s doing amazing things—in education, in healthcare, even offering emotional support.

But the real question is—what are we giving up in return for all this convenience?

Are we slowly losing our ability to truly feel?
That moment when your eyes tear up reading a poem,
or when an old photo suddenly makes you pause—
AI can’t understand those things.

Because to it, everything is just data.
But to us, they’re fragments of life.

One day, I was sitting with a friend, sipping tea.
Suddenly, he said,
“You know, sometimes I can’t even tell what I truly want. Watching all these Reels… it’s like someone else is thinking for me now.”

That line struck me deeply.

We’re not robots.
Inside us live stories of breaking and healing, words we never say aloud.
We miss people. We can’t forget some. We stay up at night for others.

These emotions—AI will never truly grasp them.

I want AI to exist, to stay by our side.
But I want humans to remain human—in thought, in imagination, in feeling.

Because one thing remains true—the ability to feel still belongs only to us.
And maybe… that’s our greatest strength.

Everything is becoming easier,
And yet—why does a quiet restlessness stir within the heart?
Have you ever felt that way?

Thank you so much for reading.
‎Hope you liked it.

Well I also wouldn't blame AI it's what we have programmed them to do that they are carrying out, this proves that the human mind is a vast oil field, for one of its biggest achievements is creating AI, a machine that can carry out tasks that even humans can't think of

Artificial intelligence is here to stay and we all as humans must learn to have them around.

AI truly makes things simple for us, but sometimes it feels like it’s slowly taking over how we think without us knowing. It’s scary to wonder if our thoughts are still ours or shaped by what we see online. No matter how good AI becomes, it can never truly understand how we feel deep inside.

I actually understand your point and i also believe that we humans just have to keep remaining humans because Ai is literally a machine and it doesn't even have that power to think or reason just like us so we shouldn't make it too important or make it have much power over our existence.

....this is like saying eat your cake and still have, you love the sweetness even against doctors orders but still you can stay out of it...😆 🤣 😂

The truth is Ai has come to stay and we will voluntarily or involuntarily accept the concept...😆

Thats why self discipline is very very important placing a limit to how some things are done.. Ai will definitely posses us if we let it, it was meant to be an assistant to us ... just like some people get addicted to their phones or watching certain things and can't control it anymore that's how Ai is... if you delegate 100% of your will to it ..why not it will take over, so you own the control nub

With the advent of AI, Humans are engulfed with challenges on choosing authenticity over convenience. While AI can map our preferences we should not outsource our essence to machines. Let the unchartered inner conscience remain unexplored by machines. Let's preserve something purely Humane and uniquely human.

One day, I was sitting with a friend, sipping tea.
Suddenly, he said,
“You know, sometimes I can’t even tell what I truly want. Watching all these Reels… it’s like someone else is thinking for me now.”

We should let AI act as an aid to our choice, we should not let ourselves be shaped by AI every time. That's where human needs to make a choice.
