Inleo is turning into a spam center.

Not that long ago @inleo built the most beautiful and modern interface that hive has seen to date. With lite accounts, short form content and long form they were going in a great direction and building an interface that we could invite new users onto and be proud of it.

Hive.blog is like something that you build as an example for funding.

It's still the same as steemit years later....

Peakd is very good and clean but didn't have short form at the time or lite accounts but looks good and runs well.

Inleo was brilliant when it launched and where I spent most of my time.

It's gone to shit lately. Ever since they introduced $LSTR and leostrategy the social site has been riddled with bots. Now that they have launched on-chain AI it has only gotten worse. Every few threads is now a bot or auto reply which really takes away form the site and hides and interesting content that might be there.

Almost every second thread on my feed is not a real user and definitely 1/3 posts from the last four hours. This is not a good look for any social site and will turn off users of the site if it keeps going in this direction.

Social media is meant to be social and not automated. I didn't mind the first few discreet messages and prompts form the team but it's gotten way out of hand.

Just something to be wary of but not a good look.

I think that the leo team has been so focused on all of the other projects on their cards that they have taken their eye off the ball with inleo so hopefully they can fix it and strike a better balance going forward.

I still prefer and use hive.blog as my interface mostly, because once I'm used to something, I really have a hard time to switch.

I am using a mix. Mostly peakd, sometimes inLeo and currently I am trying out Egency again. which is great for on the mobile.

I'm surprised that people still uses hive.blog
It works fine but it's so basic compared to peakd. I know it's hard to break old habits but there is much better out there. Still, each to their own.

I think it's already discouraging users from using InLeo Threads, since this issue with bots and spam isn't new; they've been dealing with it for many months now. I used to publish my review posts through InLeo and they would vote for me, as long as I followed their rules and everything. I didn't need to pay for Premium or anything for them to recognize and value my content.

Now... If you don't have Premium, $SURGE, $LSTR, $TZLA, etc., then you don't get voted for, nobody sees you. Literally everyone with Premium is busy creating threads on InLeo about their project, reblogging bot threads, or just generating hype about the prices. If you don't talk about what Khal and his team talk about, then you're marginalized; if you don't have Premium, then your content isn't seen on their front page. It's as if the old Crypto Tweet took shape in Hive in the form of a Microblog Front end called InLeo.

It's sad, really. :'v

I think that your right.
What used to be a thriving and social thread section is now a mess of bots and spam. Not what you want people to see when they jump onto the site.

I have a premium and some LSTR but that's as far as I'm going. I don't care about the other tokens but have noticed that it's hard to get votes from leo voter lately.

I'm just going to keep doing what I like to do and not worry about rewards or pleasing the leo crowd. I still think that they have a great business model that will drive the token price higher over the year so hopefully they can focus on the website again soon and clean it up.

I also agree that InLeo has tools that can be very useful. Furthermore, I've recently been considering paying for Premium since I've been posting my anime reviews on InLeo again. However, I am concerned about the fact that it is an investment that will generate a considerable return at the same value or more than what I spend per month on said subscription.

Since you're already a Premium member, what would you recommend? I also currently have a few hundred LEO tokens that I've been storing in my wallet before InLeo became completely Pay to Win. I don't know if you use those tokens to pay for Premium or just wait for the price to rise and sell them to make a profit.

Regarding the money issue, I've managed to get by lately with the voting situation despite the market's downturn and current HIVE prices. I also do what I love, which is talking about anime and movies, so let's just say the money thing is like an extra perk. One of my main goals is to grow organically within the platform.

That's what the For You, Trending, and Following tabs are for at the top. I've been using them more and more.

I agree about the spamming. While I am interested in the content, I don't need to see it over and over again. Especially now that there are 3 different vehicles (TGLD, TTSLA, and SURGE) plus LSTR, plus the LeoAlerts, plus LeoStrategy, and of course LEO itself. It's just too much repetitive information to have to scroll through.

But, like I started with, that's what the other tabs are for. I usually start with the latest tab, but then switch over to the Following and For You to see what people I actually want to read have to say.

It's obviously still a work in progress. As Khal keeps saying, we are so very, very early in the formation of this platform. It may not seem like it to those of us who have been around for a few years, but we are less than a year from this thing being under 2 cents and the future looking grim. Inleo 2.0 didn't hit until last spring. It's pretty incredible the strides that have been taken since then.

I have no doubt that Khal and his team will get back to the UI here shortly after they've rolled out some more of the AI things they're building. Right now they're just getting things built and running. Once those are out, I'm sure the focus will go towards organizing it and making it palatable to the people using the platform. Just need to be patient...

The Dead Internet theory says that now the majority of internet traffic is from some kind of bot. And because HIVE posts are rewarded with real money, it's not surprising that this trend started to infiltrate our circles. BUT, small informative bots are welcome in small quantities but only based on subscriptions/follows.

If they would show the articles on the main page in stead of the threads, than lot's of the spam/bot replies would be hidden.

Maybe they should have a separate feed for bots and keep them out of the main feed? Haven't looked at Threads in a good while... there weren't many bots then. Like you, I don't think a feed overrun by bots is good for the activity.

I think that main challenge for InLeo is that it has to find the way to be being user-friendly censorship-free popular microblogging service and financially support itself at the same time.
