It amazes me most of the time when I hear people say that they value something, yet when you ask them to put their money into it, it becomes difficult for them. When something is important to you, you cannot hesitate to bet your money on it. This is a major reason it is said that one should put money where his mouth is. Many people are gifted with speech power, hence they can talk and keep talking, yet they aren’t ready to put their money where their mouth is. This is very peculiar in a relationship where a man says he loves a woman, yet he can’t spend his money on the woman. If this happens, then you do not need a prophet to tell you that such a man lies. A true definition of value is where money is involved. Many people who invested in one investment scheme or the other do that because they believe in it. You cannot put your money on things you know are of no value to you, no matter how beautiful and rewarding they might appear. Hence, the value of a thing is tested with money.

I have been in a relationship with two different ladies at the same time. What happened was that I chose to spend my money on one, leaving the other. Most times when the other asked for money, I would tell her I did not have, but many times, I have borrowed to give to the other. This is where value matters. Money plays an important role in understanding the value placed on something. It is pivotal in making someone know how valuable he or she is in the life of another person. For instance, you can know how valuable someone is if he or she always comes through for you, spending his or her money just to see the best in you. Conversely, if someone claims that he loves you, then refuses to spend his money on you, then you should know that you’re of no value to him.

Besides money, there are other pointers to measure the value of a thing, but money happens to stand out this is as a result of the premium placed on money in society. People place money over other things in life. As important as other things in life might be, money plays an important role too. It will be difficult for me to put my money into what I see no value in. It’s been over two weeks since a friend of mine introduced me to an investment platform. She explained how genuine the platform is and how many people have cashed out. I told her I would think about it. But deep within me, I know that I can’t put my money into a Ponzi scheme, no matter the form it might take.

Have it in mind henceforth that the value of anything can be measured with money. Where money is not involved can be a pointer that such a thing is not valued. One of the marketing strategies adopted by most entrepreneurs is to add a higher price to their product because they believe that customers are conditioned to think that the higher the price of a product, the better the product. Few people know that this is not always true in most cases.
