I'm used to that kind of situation by now; every time I go to a party, there's always someone who just can't keep their mouth shut. I just ignore what they say because I'm not the type to let insults or derogatory comments get to me. It’s not worth making a scene; after all, they’re just words. From my perspective, words only hurt us if we let them hurt us through our own interpretation. That’s why, when things like that happen to me, I prefer to believe they’re just joking.

Lo que hago simplemente es ignorar lo que dice porque no son alguien que se deje llevar por los insultos o los comentarios despectivos. No vale la pena armar una escenita, al fin y al cabo solo son palabras, desde mi punto de vista las palabras solo nos hacen daño si en nuestra interpretación permitimos que nos hagan daño. Por eso cuando esas cosas me suceden prefiero creer que lo dicen en broma.
