The Cat in the Factory | A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Source
In the old abandoned factory lived a cat who thought he owned the place: He roamed with the arrogance of a monarch. Among rusty machines and beams, he wandered through his kingdom, convinced that those iron machines belonged to him by right of claws.
His main entertainment, besides sleeping under the sunbeams filtering through the windows, was hunting rodents: The small and defenseless mice he found around the factory were his favorite food.
However, one afternoon, his sharp green eyes detected an irregular movement in the distance. It was an old gray rat, stealthily slipping through the rusty beams.
Driven by instinct and pride, the cat stalked it to try to devour it. But the rat disappeared through a tiny hole in the brick wall.
The cat, being extremely nimble and flexible, contorted his body to slide through the crack, savoring his feast in advance.
However, upon reaching the other side, an underground cavern opened before him. To his horror, there was not a single rat in that place, but thousands of them. It was a true rodent metropolis, a gigantic nest where rats and mice coexisted in a complex and silent community.
The cat bristled, letting out a threatening hiss. All the rodents turned to look at him, but to his surprise, no one fled.
Like a perfectly synchronized legion, the furry mass did not cower; they let out a unison squeal and, with relentless fury, lunged at the king cat to invert the food chain. Fortunately, the cat, overwhelmed, escaped from that place where he was not welcome.
Humiliated, with his pride shattered, the king returned to his domain with his head down.
