I Meet Myself

He rang in the New Year alone, then heard a knock from someone who claimed they were his future self. He got up from the sofa where he had spent most of the night. The call was insistent, as if whoever it was had no time to waste.

When he opened the door, he found an old man with the same features as himself: it was a version of himself.

“I am you, 30 years from now” said the old man with a smile on his face.

The impression was so strong that he almost closed the door again, the young man was speechless.

“Who are you and what are you doing here?” he asked.

Standing at the door, his future self took a deep breath and said:

“I've come to warn you. This year is going to be crucial. You have decisions to make, paths to explore. Don't let fear paralyze you.”

Intrigued but skeptical, he decided to invite him into his home.
