Friend or Threat

The child’s imaginary friend started appearing in family photographs.

As his psychiatrist, I'm trying to find an explanation, but I have a feeling this is beyond me; this seems to be something paranormal.

In our last session, Billy told me about Timmy, an orphan boy who asked to stay at his house. Since then, they've had fun like brothers. The little boy swears he's very happy with him, but his parents think the opposite. They believe he's hallucinating or exaggerating an unreal friendship.

The family is very worried. Billy has isolated himself in his room; he doesn't want to go out and play with his real friends. He spends his time talking to himself, or rather, conversing with that thing. His mother told me that some things in the house move around, and they hear knocking noises at night.

It's strange how no one has noticed its presence until now. Perhaps it's not just a figment of his imagination; perhaps it's something dangerous.

This case requires professional help, so I recommended they see an exorcist.
