If you could travel through time, would you go to the future or the past?

As someone concerned about the future we're slowly heading towards, if I could travel through time, I'd go back to one of the many golden ages.

Those times when humanity was different, more connected because it was disconnected from the digital world. When I think of 2010 or the 80s, I imagine a world where the days were long and things like social media weren't even a topic of conversation.

If I could take a vacation out of time, I'd like to go sightseeing and travel as far back as possible.

I'd like to witness classical Greece, meet the great philosophers, question them about the existence of our future, and learn what kind of people they were.

Now that I think about it, traveling to the past would be a great opportunity to seek the truth of time immemorial.

Perhaps I'd take a look at the Jurassic period, just out of curiosity. Or perhaps I can go back further, to those times when the silence of the universe was a grand prelude.

Reflecting on this, I realize that the true journey would be inward. I want to find the greatness of the past that is not in the present, learn lessons, and apply that wisdom to building a much more enlightened present. In the end, the here and now is what matters.

Si pudieras viajar en el tiempo, ¿irías al futuro o al pasado?

Como alguien al cual le preocupa el futuro al cual nos dirigimos a pasos lentos, preferiblemente si estuviera en mi poder viajar en el tiempo, iría al pasado para vivir en una de las muchas épocas doradas.

Esos momentos donde la humanidad era diferente, más conectada al estar desconectada del mundo digital. Cuando pienso en el 2010 o los años 80´s, imagino un mundo donde los días eran largos y cosas como las redes sociales ni siquiera eran tema de conversación.

Si estuviera en mi poder el tomarme unas vacaciones fuera de tiempo, me gustaría hacer turismo e ir tan atrás como sea posible.

Quisiera ser testigo de la Grecia clásica, conocer a los grandes filósofos, cuestionarles la existencia de nuestro futuro y saber que clase de personas eran.

Ahora que lo pienso, viajar al pasado seria una gran oportunidad de buscar la verdad de los tiempos inmemoriales.

Quizás le eche un vistazo al jurásico, solo seria por curiosidad. O tal vez pueda ir más atrás, hacia esos tiempos en donde el silencio del universo era un gran preámbulo.

Reflexionando sobre esto, me doy cuenta de que el verdadero viaje seria hacia mi interior. Quiero encontrar la grandeza del pasado que no se halla en el presente, aprender lecciones y a aplicar esa sabiduría en la construcción de un presente mucho más iluminado. Al final, el aquí y el ahora es lo que importa.
