It may be that the human form is a poor compromise for repetitive industrial tasks.

Using a Unitree G1 model someone made a movie scene that stopped the internet, not because of an athletic feat, but because of something much more disconcerting, the robot in the hands of researcher Logan Olson suddenly abandoned its upright posture, launched itself to the ground and began to crawl with improbable fluidity.

The videos show the robot alternating between walking, resting its hands on the ground and sliding with a disturbing speed, its limbs contort showing that despite the humanoid format, these robbers can make very different movements from ours, more animal than mechanical and that causes a sensation that is difficult to define, something between fascination and strangeness.

The secret is a drag policy based on artificial intelligence that Logan Olson trained to allow the G1 to transition between modes of locomotion, nothing is abrupt, nothing is robotic in the classical sense, each change of posture seems calculated to imitate a body that learned to survive on the ground.

The capabilities with many.

The result is so convincing that when Logan Olson dressed up the robot for Halloween, neighbors reported being really scared and tell me, who wouldn't be scared when encountering something like that in the dark? But the impact did not come only from the visual impact.

Specialists began to comment on what this means, pointing out that many humanoids only simulate human ways of moving, but are not limited to them, the video would then be clear proof that the human form no longer dictates the repertoire of a robot, it appears to be too fast, too flexible, too strange and yet it is completely functional.

As companies like Tesla, Figure, Unitree try to transform humanoids into mass products, the uncomfortable question grows, how far is it worth insisting that these machines move like us?

Logan Olson's drag, although impractical, reveals the hidden truth, robberies can do much more than imitate humans, they can surpass the logic of our body.
