On the streets, recharging begins to align with a trucker's actual rest and logistics time.


For years, heavy electric transportation seemed unfeasible, not due to lack of motors, but due to lack of something basic, charging time, now that has changed, Tesla released real images of the Tesla Semi, being charged with a maximum power of 1.2 MW, a number that until recently existed only in slideshows.


The video shows the truck connected to the Mega Charger as the power gradually rises to a level almost five times higher than the fastest electric car chargers common in North America, for a truck with estimated range of up to 800 km and a battery that can reach close to 850 kWh, this means recovering much of the charge and less than an hour.




The secret is in Tesla's V4 architecture.


Designed to work between 400 and 1000 V, combined with liquid-cooled cables and connectors with advanced thermal control, it's heavy engineering solving a heavy problem, Tesla still showed the full charging curve. How long will the Tesla semi be able to sustain that maximum power, but the message is already given, the biggest bottleneck of long-distance electric transportation began to fall.


And when transportation changes, everything it carries comes into question, supply chains change, suppliers readjust and there is another reality in transportation.
