From your writing, I realized that Bierce was not just a writer, he was a bearer of some kind of philosophy. This line Castigate while laughing perfectly explains his work. He brought out all the unpopular truths of our society in the guise of humor. Thank you very much for highlighting the main points of this book with us. It was very nice to read it.
