Tim Burton Special | Nattosheru Review [ENG/SPA]
Hello, everyone. As is customary on my personal blog, after finishing a special series, I always put together a collection or list of all the movies I’ve reviewed so I can have them all in one place. And the recent Tim Burton Special was no exception, especially since it was one of my favorite special series this year. Sure, we’re just starting the year and haven’t gotten very far yet, but I think I’ve made it pretty clear just how big a fan I am of Tim Burton’s work over the past few weeks.
Since the mid-1980s, Tim Burton has become widely recognized for his work in the film industry. Since his debut as a director, our gothic filmmaker has demonstrated an innate talent for telling fantastical yet unsettling stories with a style he has refined over the decades. His creativity in blending horror with comedy, drama, action, and romance is fascinating. He has even managed to create his own cinematic universe with films that have become classics to this day.
As a huge fan, I’ve grown up watching Tim Burton’s movies since I was just an innocent little boy who loved every movie they put on TV. Obviously, I was just as unsettled as I was fascinated by his films, especially the horror ones, and by how Burton has managed to turn all kinds of monsters and creatures from the underworld into unforgettable, cult characters. And not only that, but the artistic style he developed in his films sparked a huge fascination with the Gothic in me from a young age.
Both his talent and his original, creative style of telling otherworldly stories have convinced me that Tim Burton is one of the best directors working today. Although his filmography isn’t as extensive as that of other directors, he still has films that can easily be described as cinematic “masterpieces”. Whether it’s his gothic style, his ability to seamlessly blend different genres into a single story, or his controversial approach to tackling sensitive topics without fear of censorship, Tim Burton will always be the perfect choice when looking for a film with a unique style.

Como es de costumbre en mi blog personal, luego de terminar algún especial siempre hago una colección o lista de todas las películas que he reseñado para tenerlas todas al alcance en un solo lugar. Y con el reciente Especial de Tim Burton no iba a ser la excepción, sobre todo porque fue uno de mis especiales favoritos de este año. Claro, apenas estamos empezando el año y no llevamos mucho aún, pero creo que he dejo bien en claro lo muy fanático que soy del trabajo de Tim Burton a lo largo de estas últimas semanas.
Desde mediados de los años 80, Tim Burton ha llegado a ser muy reconocido por su trabajo en el mundo del cine. Desde su debut como director, nuestro gótico cineasta ha demostrado un talento innato a la hora de contar historias fantásticas y a la vez perturbadoras con un estilo que ha definido muy bien con el paso de las décadas. Su creatividad a la hora de mezclar terror con comedia, drama, acción y romance es fascinante. Incluso ha conseguido crear su propio universo cinematográfico con cintas suyas que se han convertido en clásicos so día de hoy.
Como gran fan que soy, he crecido viendo las películas de Tim Burton desde que era un simple niño inocente y amante de toda película que me colocaban en la televisión. Obviamente llegué a perturbarme tanto como me he fascinado por sus películas, sobre todo por las que son de terror y por cómo Burton ha conseguido hacer de todo tipo de monstruos y criaturas del inframundo personajes inolvidables y de culto. Y no solo eso, sino que el estilo artístico que desarrolló en sus películas hizo que naciera en mí una enorme fascinación por lo gótico desde pequeño.
Tanto su talento como su estilo original y creativo de contar historias sacadas de otro mundo me han convencido de que Tim Burton es uno de los mejores directores que existen actualmente. Si bien su repertorio filmográfico no es tan grande, en comparación con el de otros directores, aún así tiene cintas que perfectamente pueden calificarse como “obras maestras” del cine. Ya sea por su estilo gótico, su forma de mezclar perfectamente distintos géneros en una sola historia o su forma tan controversial de tocar temas delicados sin temor a la censura; Tim Burton siempre será la opción perfecta al momento de buscar una película única en su estilo.
