Yes, I also enjoyed it a lot at the time, although I didn't go to see it in cinemas as such. I found it quite entertaining, and the ending makes it worth remembering. I don't know, I like endings that are half tragic and half happy. 😅

I also prefer endings that are not predictable. If you don't already do it, you should start to watch Japanese or Korean films. Unlike USA films you never know who is going to "win". The fun of the films from those countries is that it could go either way. Often the bad guys win in an absolutely gruesome fashion. I find most USA films quite boring esepecially when big stars are in them because you know before the movie starts that The Rock, Jason Statham, Ryan Reynolds, whoever, is going to emerge victorious.

In Japanese and Korean films the bad guys often win in a truly haunting fashion and that is what makes it so good. You never know when something truly awful is going to happen.

There are a few exceptions in USA films, but for the most part, the good guys always win and it is kind of stupid.

That's an interesting fact, actually. I'll keep it in mind for later. I'm already used to watching a lot of anime (Japanese animated series). And it's true that some have endings that you definitely didn't expect. They have their own clichés and generic plots, but if you look within the drama, suspense, or science fiction genres, there are gems that are well worth watching.

Thank you so much for your recommendation.
