The photos below are taken withe the Sony A6000 + Helios 58mm lens
Exact setup I have! I absolutely love the Helios 44-2. Did you know you can throw on filters on that lens too? 49mm thread size.
The unique bokeh of the Helios comes at a certain distance from the subject, aperture fully opened up and pointed into the highlights. In case you didn't know already!

yup i know what the lens is capable of , and so is the jupiter-9 that i have
Very nice! There's a market here that sells a lot of these old Soviet era cameras and lenses, I've been needing to go there and test some out. They're often sold for about 15 dollars each. Incredibly cheap.
that is beacause people don't know the quality or how to use it, after all it's a manual lens and it doesn't fit on modern cameras without a proper adapter . the helios i have uses M42 thread and the Jupiter-9 uses L39 thread . I also use old Minolta MD glass , Rokkor has made great lenses in the past all manual focus but still great for my kind of photography .
Yeah in Armenia they aren't too great with Internet usage still. No idea of things like eBay. Most places here either have no website at all or at best use Instagram. A lot of the market sellers are also on the older side, completely oblivious to the fact that even Hollywood has shown interest in snagging these lenses up and getting them rehoused.
Back in the steem days i started a bokeh account @bokeh and @macrophotography for my macro , and now people think that with a smartphone and AI you can do the same 😂😎
