5 minute freewrites 2992 and 2993

This is my post for #freewriters 2991 and 2992 prompts unpleasant perfume and illegal extension hosted by @mariannewest
Yesterday was a rough day, and I did not have it in me to write or even open the laptop. My back was hurting from carrying all of the plants from the shed to the yard from the day before.
Around 1 o'clock, my daughter said she was having strange feelings in her head and felt she needed to go to the hospital. Once there, she was having trouble speaking. The doctor said she was going to admit her, but first wanted to run a CT scan, which they did. After sitting in a room in the ER for 6 hours, I asked the nurse with the unpleasant perfume if they were still going to keep her. She said she believed so.
I told my daughter that I could not take the back pain any longer and I was going home. She did not like this because every time she has been in the hospital, I have stayed overnight with her. I told her she is 45 years old and can stay by herself.
She had packed a bag, just in case they kept her, so I went out to the truck to get it. They are working on the hospital, in my opinion, it should be an *illegal extension. Now we have to go through a metal detector and wear a patch with out picture on it to come and go from the building. As I was going to get her things, a security guard stopped me and wanted to know where my patch was. I told him they did not give me one. I had been there 6 hours, and now that I was leaving, they wanted me to have one.
I got her things from the truck, and when I went back in, they had to go through her bag and I had to walk through the detector, and then I had to have the wand run over me. I still beeped, he had me pull my pant legs up. I felt like a criminal.
It was dark on my drive home, and once there, I told my husband the dash lights do not work in the truck and the headlights are so dim that it was hard for me to see. I also could not find my cell phone. I called it while looking around the house and outside but I could not hear it anywhere. A few minutes later it called the house number. the secruity guard at the hospital said I left it when he was running the wand over me.
My husband had drunk a few beers, so I had to drive back to the hospital to get my phone, but he went outside to the truck to see why the dashboard lights did not work. He started the truck, and I saw that I did not have any taillights either. I have never had a truck that the lights come on when you start the engine and I do not drive at night. My husband found a switch on the dash that turned the lights on, now I had better headlights, taillights, and dash lights. I drove back to the hospital and got my phone.
Home again, I fix myself something to eat, but I did not get to eat because my daughter called and said they had released her, so I had to drive back to the hospital to get her.
Home again, I got to finally to eat dinner. I laid back on the heating pad and fell asleep, but woke at 1am and could not go back to sleep until 4:30, I even gave in to the pain and took a pill around 3.
I did not do much today, but I am glad the pain has not been as it was yesterday and last night.

Yikes, that's the kind of day nobody wants to have. Hope your back gets better.
It was a loooong day. My back felt a little better last night, but then I fished today and it is now hurting. Life goes on no matter the pain.
Unfortunately, that's true! I have taken to saying life goes on, with or without me!
