5 minute freewrite 2914 prompt fence of offence

This is my post for #freewriters 2914 prompt fence of offence hosted by @mariannewest.
That picture is what I do for most of our day, I sit there, leaned back in a comfortable chair, and watch my sister work her tail off. I do reel in the front rods and check the bait, but if a pompano gets on one, I have to go to the back of the boat while my sister goes to the bow. My boat is small and tipsy, and with coolers in it, we have a one foot open space to go back and forth.
Yesterday, my neck was bothering me, but it was not painful. This morning, I could not look to the right and still can not. I guess it is from sitting there looking up at six rods. I feel like my body is constantly letting me down. I need to build a fence of offence against it.
This morning I took a can of starter fluid with me in case my motor did not want to start again. It started without having to use it. But now I have it on the boat for the next time it won't start.
We went to the Big Flatt, and my husband was anchored so I asked him if he caught anything there and he said yes. We anchored and did not catch anything. We anchored in two more places for nothing. The next anchoring we caught 18 pompano, but two were too short to keep, they have to be 11 inches to the fork of their tail. We had one anchoring where we caught two more.
We ran all over to the north and east and did not see one until we got west of the Flatt, and one skipped, but the pickers were bad, and we ran out of bait and did not catch any. Our 18 head weighed 31 pounds. I hope the price holds for next Friday's check. My husband beat us again, he had 39 pounds.
