5 minute freewrite 2903 prompt one of us

This is my post for #freeewriters 2903 prompt one of us hosted by @mariannewest

My sister had a job to do today and asked me if I minded her doing it instead of going fishing. I do not know why she asked that, because the boat is not ready, there is work to do on the trailer, we have to get gas for the boat, and we do not have enough rigs made. In other words, we still have work to do before we can fish.

My husband has been the only one of us who has been fishing. He had a good week last week, he caught pompano, but said the pickers and catfish were bad. Pickers are small fish that pick your bait off of the hook. The seagrass has been coming back and this year it is almost as it used to be, so the little fish have plenty of places to now hide and they are plentiful.

Today he only caught three pompano, but when he was fishing in the Sleauth he saw mullet finning and threw his cast net on them. He only wanted some for supper but caught twelve. He cleaned half of them for tonights dinner and will clean and freeze the rest tomorrow.
