Today I took a break from working on fishing gear and did a little much needed weeding. I did not get much done because we kept getting small rain squalls. I was cutting back my rose bush, and it started to rain. I put my garden tools in the front seat of my truck and headed for the house, but before I could get to the front steps, it stopped raining. The next time it rained, I stood under the mango tree until it quit. I did this several times. I am not sure why we are getting rain from the east. I guess it is because it wants to come from that way. I do not think it is from the hurricane that is hitting Jamaica. Please say a prayer for the people there.

I had to take my son to the hospital today, it was for a wound check. We were there for over 4 hours. It was so cold in there, he is similar to me when it comes to cold. He asked for a blanket, then another blanket, and another one before he could stay warm. They took several vials of blood and ran tests for infection. They also swabbed the bite hole in his cheek and ran a test on it. They told us they did not find any sign of infection. They also showed me how to change his bandage.

They do not want me to put anything on the bite, they gave us a bottle of saline, some gauze pads, and tape. They told me to wet the gauze with the saline and apply that to his cheek and tape it on. They want me to bring him back again in 2 days. They also said not to cover the staples on his thigh. My son told me the guy was trying to saw his leg off with the knife, he had at least 12 staples in it. They also put antibiotics in the IV that they had in his arm.

I looked up the guy's arrest report, and it said he is being charged with battery with intent to cause bodily harm, and he is on a $200K bond. Someone told me he could get 15 years, I wish for life in prison.

This morning, my daughter was standing there watching him sleep, and I told her, That is how fast your life can change. He is lucky to be alive.`
