This is my post for #freewriters 2709 prompt don’t plagiarize hosted by @mariannewest

My sister bought this beast of a lawn mower, and she has been looking for a trailer to haul it on so she can mow yards for her friends.

Yesterday she told me she found a trailer and I told her I would ride with her to get it. They wanted 1,000 dollars for it and the way the world is, I was afraid she would get there to buy it and someone would rob her.

Today she told me the man sold the trailer. He did this after she said she was coming to get it, and he said he would hold it for her. He said his wife answered someone else and sold it.

So my sister found another trailer, this one was 800 dollars. She called this guy and he gave us his address and told us to get off Interstate 95 onto Virginia Ave. He lives in the town of Fort Pierce. We got as far south as Palm City and had not seen an exit that said Virginia Ave. I told my sister we had gone too far, we had to turn around. I called the guy and told him where we were at, he confirmed we passed it by 30 miles. He told us it was road 70, which is Ochachobee Rd on 95, but if you take it east to US1 it turns into Virginia Ave.

The trailer is a little rough looking, but it is solid, and it has these yellow things on the top rail. They have something to do with making the tailgate easy to lift. We asked if the lights work and he said one worked. He was selling it for 800 and my sister offered 700 and he said since one light did not work he would take it.

We made it back to Vero and stopped to get her granddaughter's dinner at McDonald's. I went into the bathroom while they ordered their food. When I came back to the truck, I told my sister to turn her headlights on it was near dark and I wanted to check the lights on the trailer. There were no running lights, so I told her to put her foot on the brake. Still no lights, we had nothing. We stopped in Gifford and left the trailer at a friend's house. She will get it tomorrow, because it was way past dark.

This is a true story, I *don’t plagiarize, why would I? My life stays hectic enough without trying to copy someone else's life.
