Jackie was a slender woman living with her in-laws while her husband was stationed overseas. The in-laws were a nice couple who took her in, and she admired them. She did not mind living with them until the 2nd night he came into her room. The first time, she was awake, and so was one of the children. He turned and left the room. She did not ask what he wanted, she figured he was looking for something, but the next night, she found out why he was there the night before.

She was asleep but woke by a hand being placed over her mouth. He said, "How much do you love Carol?" that is his wifes name. Then he continued to say, "Lay quietly, you do not want to wake her, this would kill her."

Jackie told me that he coerced me to do what he wanted. She said she was scared her children would wake and loving her husbands mother the way she did and knowing if she knew her husband was about to rape her daughter-in-law would hurt her deeply, the young woman lay crying while he climbed unto her bed and then her.

She turned her head towards the doorway of her room, where she saw her mother-in-law standing. She had a dark glare on her face, and the young woman knew she now hated her.

Jackie knew she could not call her father to get her. She knew if her father knew what had happened, he would be in jail because he would have killed the man. She could call one person who would not tell her parents, but they lived an hour away. Jackie had no choice but to call them. It was the longest hour in her life.

The house felt like icebergs were floating through it even though she saw or talked with no one, the air was thick and cold, and it was summer.

After this, Jackie was told about her father-in-law's past, he had done things like this before, even with his daughters. Jackie was mad and hurt that no one told her about how he was when she moved in with them. Everyone on Jackie's husband's side of the family knew about him. Jackie was very unhappy with her husband for not saying anything to her. That was when Jackie found out about how this evil being had raped even his son.
