Daddy Day Camp Movie review

How are you all? I hope you are well. I am also quite well. Today I got some free time after a long time, and without wasting that time, I watched an old comedy movie. To be honest, I don't watch many comedy movies. But today I suddenly saw this one. And after watching it, I thought - no, it wouldn't be right if I didn't write something about it. So I thought I would share this little experience of mine with you.

The name of the movie is Daddy Day Camp.

Actually, I didn't plan to watch the movie at all. I was browsing here and there on YouTube, and suddenly I saw it. At first, I didn't pay much attention to it, I thought - maybe it would be something for children. But still, I continued it out of curiosity.

The beginning seems very simple. But little by little, as the story progresses, I realised - there are some small feelings inside this story, which are actually not easy to say, but can be felt.

The story mainly revolves around Charlie Hinton. Cuba Gooding Jr. played this character. His character seemed quite real to me. Because he is not perfect at all. Rather, he makes mistakes while trying and gets back up again. From a father's perspective, he wants to do something good for his son—this part touched me the most.

Doesn't that happen in many of our lives? We want to do something good, but we can't do it right. Still, we keep trying. Charlie had that thing inside him.

Next to him was his friend Phil, played by Paul Rae. Phil can be annoying at times, but that person is often the reason for laughter. He is not serious, but his presence keeps the story light.

Another character that is worth noting is Lance Warner—played by Lochlyn Munro. He is the opposite type of person. Everything is perfect, orderly, and organised. When you look at his camp, it seems like everything is going according to plan. And Charlie's camp? Absolutely chaotic. But that's where the fun lies.

These two types of people and the difference in their thoughts are what actually make the story interesting.

Charlie's son Ben (Spencir Bridges) and the rest of the kids—I have to talk about them separately. Because the movie would have been half without them. Their mischief, fights, and fun together—everything was shown so naturally that sometimes it felt like I was watching some moments of my own childhood.

One thing I really liked—the movie didn't try to force laughter. I see many comedy movies that try to force humour, which I don't like. But here, laughter comes from small incidents. And that laughter feels much more natural.

But yes, everything is not perfect. In some places, the story is predictable. And some scenes seemed a little exaggerated. But since the movie is not very serious, these didn't seem like a big problem.

Finally, I will say one thing—this movie reminded me of a simple thing. Not everything in life has to be perfect. If we try our best, that's a lot.

Charlie may not be a perfect father, but he tried. And that effort is what really matters.

All in all, Daddy Day Camp is a movie that you may not remember for a long time, but it won't be a bad time to watch. It will lighten your mood a little.

If you've seen it, let me know how you liked it. And if you haven't, you can watch it one day if you have time.

If you watch full movie watch:-
