Hoy quiero compartirles un short muy especial que hice usando mi cosplay de Rumi, de la película K-pop Demon Hunters. Usé el traje con el que ella aparece al inicio de la película y lo combiné con la canción “How It’s Done”, que para mí captura perfecto la energía del personaje: fuerte, segura, con estilo y actitud. Desde que vi la película, Rumi me llamó muchísimo la atención, no solo por su diseño, sino por lo que representa dentro de la historia.
La película me encantó. Mezcla acción, música, fantasía y personajes con personalidad de una forma muy entretenida. Tiene ese aire de idol, pero con un lado oscuro y poderoso que me pareció muy original. Me gustan mucho las historias donde los personajes tienen que enfrentar algo más grande que ellos mismos, y aquí eso se siente en cada escena.
Este cosplay no lo hice de un día para otro. Como casi todos mis cosplays, lo fui armando de a poco, porque no me gusta gastar todo de golpe ni afectar mi presupuesto. Primero compré la peluca, que para mí es una de las partes más importantes para que un personaje se sienta real. Después fui buscando el resto del traje, accesorios y detalles, y claro… todo eso tarda en llegar 😅. A veces la parte más difícil no es armarlo, sino tener la paciencia de esperar los envíos.
Pero cuando por fin tienes todo en las manos y puedes probarte el cosplay completo, la sensación es muy bonita. Sientes que el personaje cobra vida, aunque sea un poquito. Y eso es lo que quise transmitir con este short: no solo un outfit, sino una vibra, una actitud, una versión de Rumi que me hizo mucha ilusión recrear.
Espero que les guste este pequeño homenaje a una película que realmente disfruté.

Today I want to share with you a very special short film I made using my Rumi cosplay from the movie K-pop Demon Hunters. I wore the outfit she wears at the beginning of the movie and paired it with the song “How It's Done,” which I think perfectly captures the character's energy: strong, confident, stylish, and full of attitude. Ever since I saw the movie, Rumi caught my attention, not only because of her design, but also because of what she represents within the story.
I loved the movie. It mixes action, music, fantasy, and characters with personality in a very entertaining way. It has that idol vibe, but with a dark and powerful side that I found very original. I really like stories where the characters have to face something bigger than themselves, and here you can feel that in every scene.
I didn't make this cosplay overnight. Like almost all my cosplays, I put it together little by little, because I don't like to spend everything at once or affect my budget. First, I bought the wig, which for me is one of the most important parts of making a character feel real. Then I looked for the rest of the costume, accessories, and details, and of course... all that takes time to arrive. Sometimes the hardest part isn't putting it together, but having the patience to wait for the shipments.
But when you finally have everything in your hands and can try on the complete cosplay, the feeling is really nice. You feel like the character comes to life, even if just a little bit. And that's what I wanted to convey with this short film: not just an outfit, but a vibe, an attitude, a version of Rumi that I was really excited to recreate.
