When the wind blows
When the winds blow hard on the coast, the sea becomes very rough. The water is dirty, grey, and murky, as you can see in this photo. Yesterday morning I walked along the seashore, and that's how I found that sea, which sometimes overwhelms us with its beauty and crystalline waters, reflecting that blue sky you came to know... Well, not this time. The sea can also have different days - but it is still the sea and we still love it, right?
From Thursday to Friday, I stayed very close to it as I spent the night at a friend's house. In his piano studio actually. I asked him for this favour to save me a trip home because I had a full day of lessons and a performance on Friday anyway. He loved the idea; we could finally chat a bit and see each other after a long time.

Ayer por la mañana caminé por la orilla, y así fue como encontré ese mar, que a veces nos abruma con su belleza y aguas cristalinas, reflejando ese cielo azul que conociste... Bueno, esta vez no. El mar también puede tener días diferentes, pero sigue siendo el mar y nos sigue encantando, ¿verdad?
De jueves a viernes, estuve muy cerca de él, pasando la noche en casa de un amigo. En su estudio de piano, de hecho. Le pedí este favor para ahorrarme el viaje a casa, ya que de todas formas tenía un día completo de clases y una actuación el viernes. Le encantó la idea; por fin podríamos charlar un poco y vernos después de tanto tiempo.
I found out he also has a little owl that practices the piano from time to time, like @elbuhito's Buhito. This little guy had to continue his piano studies, and I had my lessons; however, before I started with my work, I went where the pebbles live and bath in the waves. Grey water, as my hair is grey too. Should I blame the wind for my hair being that colour? I think I am slowly starting to love that shade of my hair, although my son told me I should tint my hair ginger. 😂

Este pequeño tuvo que seguir estudiando piano, y yo tenía mis clases; sin embargo, antes de empezar con mi trabajo, fui a donde las piedras viven y se bañan en las olas. Agua gris, porque mi pelo también es gris. ¿Debería culpar al viento de que mi pelo tenga ese color? Creo que poco a poco me está empezando a gustar ese tono, aunque mi hijo me dijo que debería teñirme el pelo y ser pelirroja. 😂
Well, let's leave the hair colour issue behind - you can see it in the video anyway, as well as Miss Wind's attitude. Let's focus on the upcoming dates. The coastal towns are preparing for Holy Week, when they receive a flood of tourists as if it were summer. It's a place where many spend the week before Easter, mainly because of the good weather that usually prevails around that time in the Mediterranean. As we can see, yesterday's weather still didn't offer this kind of hospitality, although this may improve in a day or two.
Bueno, dejemos de lado el tema del color de pelo (ya se ve en el vídeo, al igual que la actitud de Señorita Viento). Centrémonos en las próximas fechas. Los pueblos costeros se preparan para la Semana Santa, cuando reciben una avalancha de turistas como si fuera verano. Es un lugar donde muchos pasan la semana anterior a la Pascua, principalmente por el buen tiempo que suele reinar por esas fechas en el Mediterráneo. Como podemos ver, el tiempo de ayer no ofreció ese tipo de hospitalidad, aunque puede que mejore en un par de días.
And you, where are you spending Holy Week this year? Do you usually travel or do you prefer to stay home? I will have to work three days, and then we will see if the grey hair will visit the grey sea or not. :)

No, no puedes entrar al mar con estas olas. Aunque... unas veces nosotros entramos con olas más grandes, jaja, pero es una locura porque ponen la bandera roja lo que significa que no se debería (ah, por eso vas a la cárcel jajajaja 😂) ni si sabes nadar.

I started to have a few silver hairs some years ago but not as many as now. But I do kind of like it 😇
I remember my tour of the coast near Valencia when the wind was blowing 🙂
On that November day, the sun was high in the sky, without a single cloud, and the water did have that blue hue you mentioned. There was no gray color, which reminds you of the color of some of the hairs on your head.
The dark blue color of the water and the reflection of the sun made staying on the beach very pleasant that day.
It was so nice that I took off my jacket, spread it on the sand and lay down to enjoy the roar of the waves and the sun's rays warming my face.
But something had to go wrong 🙂
That period was dry, without rain, so the fine, golden sand was not wet.
The strong wind that was blowing spread dry sand on the beach and after a few minutes, I had to get up.
If I had stayed on the sand for half an hour, I would have been completely covered in it. And that little time I was lying on the sand, I barely shook off all the sand that was applied to me from my wardrobe.
I picked up my jacket and moved 30 meters away to a chair at a nearby restaurant, where the wind-blown sand could not interrupt the enjoyment of drinking coffee.
That's the not-so-great side of the sandy beaches. You end up covered with sand hahaha when the wind blows. There are some really huge and beautiful sandy beaches, with natural dunes in the Valencian region, true that not many of them have stayed in that natural form, as humans want to touch everything and convert them into more touristically demanding beaches. This has pebbles, so you would never get covered with sand. You just have to learn to walk on these rocks 😂

Good evening @mipiano, I love that uncrowded beach and that riotous sea. Many years ago, every year I used to visit Torremolinos in autumn and winter. No people, no heat.
I will spend Easter in Madrid. I have in mind to go to one of the processions that take place at night. It's been a few years since I've been there, and maybe this year it will be my turn.

The processions during the Holy Week in Spain are quite great. We have seen this tradition for the first time here in Spain!

About the processions, in Madrid these days people go outside, they are days of few people and in the , I think there are two, night processions there are usually few people and the atmosphere is another, more collected. It's like the beach without people and without heat, but in procession.🙂

Los elementos en la foto de portada de este post son hermosos, a pesar del agua revuelta, el horizonte con sus nubes de algodón transmite mucha paz. Luego la posición del velerito al fondo y la gaviota en pleno vuelo, le hace, minimalístamente, fascinante. En definitiva, sí, nos encanta el mar.
El viento siempre juega en contra de la cabellera, pero seguro que tanto de gris como de rojo intenso te seguirás viendo maravillosa. Esa selección de piedras parecen tener una finalidad específica…jmmm jaja.
Esperamos que esa larga semana de trabajo haya sido leve con la compañía de un colega y que los días de la Semana Santa que trabajes sean muy fructíferos.

El mar siempre bello, no importa su color, pero el blanco de esas piedras sí que importa, como me gustaría tenerlas!! Este post tiene muchos colores jajaja, el gris del pelo...ya lo tuve un tiempo, pero volví a teñirlo de negro, mis canas estaban muy desordenadas y preferí ocultarlas hasta que se organicen y se muestren en todo su esplendor, diseminadas por todo mi cabello...eso será pronto 😉. Respondoendo aa tu pregunta te cuento otra "curiosidad" de nuestra Isla, tradicionalmente no se celebra semana santa, solo hace unos años, cuando el Papa Juan Pablo II visitó Cuba a finales de la década del 90, el viernes santo quedó fechado como feriado laboral en el calendario. No obstante, esta semana es de vacaciones escolares pero por motivos completamente diferentes, está dedicada a la Victoria de Girón (aquí te dejo la explicación). Aprovechando el receso estamos pasándola en Varadero...mucho mar!!! Un abrazo 🤗.
Las mías también están desordenadas 😂 De momento se esconden en unas capas no tan visibles, casi no se notan si lo miras de un avión jajaja, pero si te acercas un poco... pues mucho gris 🤣 Ayer fui a cortar las puntas de mi pelo, el peluquero estaba encantado con mi melena. Y muy educado - no dijo nada da las canas 😂

Sí, he notado que no publicas últimamente y me imaginaba que vas muy ocupada. Es todo normal, la vida la tenemos que vivir como podemos, ser felices con lo que hacemos sin forzarnos a hacer algo que no nos apetece/o no nos da tiempo.
