Another Wedding in Lagos

Another Wedding Again… Lagos Life 😅
I don’t even know how it’s happening at this point, but it feels like I’ve been attending weddings back to back these days.

Just today again, another one. Lagos no dey ever rest when it comes to celebrations. Every weekend, it’s either wedding, birthday, or one event like that. And somehow, I keep finding myself in the middle of it.

This one today was actually nice. Not too crowded, but still very lively. You know how Lagos weddings are now, music, people dressed well, small small dancing here and there, and everybody just trying to enjoy themselves. At some point, I just stood there and laughed to myself. Like how many weddings have I attended recently? It’s starting to feel like a routine. But I won’t lie, I enjoyed it.

There’s something about weddings that just feels different. Maybe it’s the happiness in the air, or the fact that everyone is in a good mood. Nobody comes to a wedding to be sad. Even if you came stressed, before long the music and the vibe will carry you.
The couple today looked really happy too, and that’s always my favorite part. All the decoration and everything is nice, but seeing the people getting married actually happy, that one hits different.
And of course, Lagos people came dressed. No dulling at all. You’ll just be seeing different styles everywhere. Sometimes I even spend time just observing outfits more than anything else,
Food was good, music was alright, and people danced well. Normal Lagos standard. But I can’t lie, I’m starting to feel like I need a break from weddings small 😂 because at this rate, every weekend is booked.

Still, I’m grateful sha. It’s not a bad thing to be present at happy moments like this. Life is already stressful, so these small celebrations help balance things.
Let’s see what next weekend will bring again… because in Lagos, you can never really predict 😅

A year ago, I had my wedding in Lagos, and that’s where I found my dress, even though now I’m living in New Jersey. I remember wandering through local boutiques and later browsing top wedding dresses for inspiration, trying to understand what I truly wanted. There was something so special about that time, the warmth, the atmosphere, the feeling that everything was coming together. When I finally found the dress, it felt connected not just to my style, but to that moment in my life. Now, looking back from a completely different place, I realize it wasn’t just about the dress itself, but about the memories and emotions woven into it.
