Hive Open Days Alicante 2026 - last day
We had plans today. We really had. But we needed to change them at first. And the we kept doing it the whole day. Nothing to complain. We still had a nice, relaxing day. Except for stairs.
“More stairs!” @palomap3 said with a whisper.

A festival is happening, with Sunday being the last day of it, with music and party-ing all day. We even had some fireworks.

Each street is building a cross out of flowers, and then is following a general theme such as Coco - the movie, monsters or spring.

You can see how everyone prepared for it, getting all kind of handmade items outside their doors.

I was surprised to find the church that is apparently the starting point for El Camino - but not the main one, it is an alternative route called The Southway pilgrimage, and this one starts in Alicante.

One painting in the mentioned church totally giving me an anime vibe.

A hermetic/alchemical looking design.

Next, we visited the museum that was near the church, with an impressive modern art expo.

The art pieces ranged from child play to extraordinary engineering work. This is one painting that I want to show to my 4-year old nephew, to challenge him to do a better one.

This one reminds me of that movie with a child Superman going bad.

Brilliant work of art, modern and secular combined together.

More street ornaments from the Cruz de Mayo festival.

As for the evening, a few of us Hivians were supposed to meet in here, but despite being open online, the bar was close in the real life.

I found a Mushroom street. And some place to have a drink and some food together.

Most of the people had a beer, some more courageous ones testing the cider.

Some funny pints of beer, definitely smaller that the ones in UK. 250 ML.

I had some french fries with ham and eggs. Patatas rompehuevas. Quite good. As I was looking at the pictures from this holiday, I couldn't notice that at least half of them had food in it. I may aswell make a whole post just about food. Nice tasty food. I will see if I have time for this.
And once again we say goodbye, third time today, I think. Most probably we gonna meet again tomorrow, with some of us that are still here. Overall was an interesting experience, and I could see a lot of people making a Hive account, and having so many questions after. I followed a few of them, and none made the first post yet. We may lack a clear path to onboarding, or at least a one-click account. If there is something to use like email for a temporary account, and ask to save the keys later, that will be awesome. There are people working on a email login, but the solution is still quite complicated.
HiveFest next, anyone know where it will be?
