Would changing things that happened really be the solution, or would it just create different problems?

If time travel were possible and accessible, what could we trust? Changing our choices would become routine. Did you make a bad decision? Just go back in time and do it differently. Did you meet someone, get married, and then regret it? That regret would no longer exist for the rest of your life. That sounds so good that it should happen, but imagine how many things could change at any moment if people could go back in time. Nothing would be reliable, and we would live in a complex reality, where we couldn't really say if something is concrete or just the result of a change made by someone at some point.

I imagine a scene where I'm sitting on the couch watching a news report about war, and in the blink of an eye, I'm fighting in that same war I just saw on the news because someone changed the course of my history. It would be a succession of parallel realities, difficult to distinguish from true reality. So, we can conclude that no, it would not be a good idea to go back in time, much less make it accessible to anyone. The power to change the course of things could be used for more evil than good, and even good intentions could lead to bad consequences at some point.

Even if this access were only mine, only one person's, imagine the amount of damage that could be caused. The course of history being altered by my conception of what is right or wrong... And no one has an absolute sense of truth that is truly valid. We live something natural, and what happened was meant to happen. Of course, we want to change some things in our lives: a wrong decision, a loved one who is gone... But destiny cannot be altered in this way. Many things happen to make us who we are today. Changing history or a fact would not only be an adjustment of our desire, but rather a change in who we are. If we make decisions to change something, it is precisely based on what we have already experienced, and to stop experiencing that creates a temporal paradox... butterfly effect... choose any crazy theory for that.

Talking about time travel ties your brain in knots; it's hard to assimilate so many possibilities. But I believe that life has its trajectory, and even though some things could be different, we have the daily opportunity to act differently. O poder de mudar o curso das coisas poderia ser usado para mais maldades do que bondades, e até mesmo as boas intenções poderiam gerar consequências ruins em algum momento.

Mesmo que esse acesso fosse apenas meu, apenas de uma pessoa, imagine o tamanho do estrago que poderia ser causado. O curso da história sendo alterado pela minha concepção do que é certo ou errado... E ninguém possui um senso absoluto da verdade que seja realmente válido. Vivemos algo natural, e o que aconteceu deveria acontecer. Claro que temos vontade de mudar algumas coisas da nossa vida: uma decisão errada, um ente querido que se foi... Mas o destino não pode ser alterado dessa forma. Muitas coisas acontecem para fazer de nós o que somos hoje. Mudar a história ou um fato não seria apenas um ajuste do nosso desejo, mas sim mudar quem somos. Se tomamos decisões para mudar algo, é justamente com base no que já vivemos e deixar de viver aquilo, cria se um paradoxo temporal... efeito borboleta... escolha qualquer teoria maluca para isso.

Falar sobre viagem no tempo dá um nó na cabeça, é difícil assimilar tantas possibilidades. Mas acredito que a vida tem sua trajetória e, por mais que algumas coisas pudessem ser diferentes, temos a oportunidade diária de agir de outra forma. Então, em vez de olhar para trás e tentar mudar o curso, por que não olhar para frente e tomar as decisões agora? A ação é a mesma. A única diferença é que uma está ao nosso alcance e a outra não.
