What Is SPL Trader?

Home Page of SPL Trader

I stumbled on a project by @spltrader a few months ago via a twitter post. Very soon I found that its endeavor in automating buying and selling of Splinterlands cards was very lucrative and decided to invest into it. Long story short I scrambled a majority of my liquid assets in Splinterlands into the project and have been yielding decent passive income. You can check the project out via their Hive blog: https://peakd.com/@spltrader/posts

They are also active on discord and twitter. I do not use much more than their DEC pool where its a pot of users investing their liquid DEC for spltrader to buy and sell cards on the open market. The daily profits the project can make is split among the investors relative to the percentage of DEC they invested compare to the overall DEC in the pool.

Every month since the beginning of the year the profits earned by the project has been rising and May was its best month yet. That month was also due to Conclave's roll out, and now that it has died down a bit the month of June may end up being less than May. Still the profits seem very enticing therefore I remain invested into the project.

My account balance of DEC has been steadily climbing and chart above is for the most recent month. The purple line is how much I had deposited while blue line is my continuous rise in daily balance. If you look very carefully the delta between the purple and blue line steadily rising over time and currently I have for over 100k DEC in profit since my initial investment. I have not performed a withdraw but the site says it takes 24 hours waiting time to see the DEC back into my account if I wish to withdraw.

The project also includes tools for users to automate selling and buying cards on their own. I have tested it in recent weeks and yielded decent results. I was selling some of my 1 bcx and low bcx chaos cards and they seem to go through to market orders well.

The project basically allows you to set a price on the cards you want to buy and sell and automatically adjusts the prices due to present day market demand. If you prefer to sell it at a fix price it is also able to set at that price and remain there until someone buys the card.

On its homepage if you scroll down you will see a summary of the tools available for users. The best part is all of the tools are free to use. SPL Trader profits from taking a portion of the profits made from buying and selling in the pool, but they hold the risk that if there are losses they would compensate for investors up to the amount of principle they have put in. This is a pretty good risk versus reward if you ask me.

Back to the features another neat one is that I can post a card for sale through SPL Trader but also be able to use the card for battles. This allows me to take advantage of playing the card and not being able to utilize the card when it is on the open market having to wait until a buyer purchases the card.

Selling through SPL Traders will only incur a low commission fee of 3%. One of my most often go to places to buy is through monstermarket and peakmonsters but I believe their commissions are a little higher than SPL Traders.

Now spltrader did not sponsor me and everything I have reviewed here is from my personal use. I highly recommend readers check it out for themselves. Again its: https://www.spltrader.com/

They are posting constantly through Hive and Twitter. They are also very responsive on discord to help answer questions from users on a daily basis from what I can tell.

Until next time thanks for reading!!!

I am guessing they make DEC through the fees generated from card sales? I recall monstermarket returning a part of the fees generated. I think its a fairly good way to invest DEC, but I do think the part about reimbursement is based on goodwill though. There is nothing stopping the owner from going MIA.
