Peakmonster's Effective Pack Value Estimator

In Peakmonsters.com there is the open pack estimator updated for all sets that are potentially available from legacy sets in Alpha/Beta to Arcana.
There is also a set estimate price which it presents interesting information.

The overall max level Archana regular set is just at a little over $2,100. This is a lot less than prior sets such as in Beta and Untamed. It gives me the impression that the developers have hit the nail on the head in regards to the amount of packs to sell and how many cards can be in circulation.
The cost for a Rebellion set as regular max level is also similar in value compare to Arcana. At $2,200 for the set.

Although prices seem reasonable the drop in assets prices is still a difficult pill to swallow. Without proof of long term value holding up it will be difficult to expect people will want to hold the cards for long term. Land game somewhat can support the cards' value but as new sets arrive it just seems difficult for legacy cards to hold up value.
I ponder if there are ways that developers can appreciate the value of the cards similar to what was discussed in my post yesterday. Increase utility uses for cards and features will make a difference. The long awaiting bloodline if and when that arrives the cards can individually become unique and that could potentially raise card values.
