End Of The Season Rush

I pushed to use up all my energy before end of season in hopes to get as much Glint as possible. This is the last day of the season and I will have to scrap 2000 DEC for the upcoming new wild season to earn more. Before I go ahead and start the new season I will be looking over the potential earnings if in fact I do play in wild. My issue is the payout does not seem enticing. The opportunity cost to spend for a ticket to play in the wild versus just staking it in land to earn more resources is what I am up against. For small players like me it is worth wild looking ahead before I simply jump into a whole season.
FOMO is real as I have been watching other players in modern using Conclave and earning a boat load. I feel I am left behind if I do not continue to battle daily, however without any Conclave cards I would not be yielding as much in the wild format. Speaking of Conclave I am looking at open market prices for cards and yet to see commons and rares fall in price to the point I would be willing to buy them individually.
For starter packs costing 1k DEC I would imagine there is sufficient buyers that will flip the cards for profit on the open market. Judging by current rare sales there are only 6 cards selling above $1 which would reimburse back the cost of a pack. That is a total of 6 out of 31 rares to likely get at least a breakeven. Its not very good odds to me unfortunately. With all the market fees it will be difficult to breakeven, hence I am holding off on buying starter packs in bulk.
On the other hand buying standard packs the potential of pulling a black or black arcana card seems to have a huge ROI.
Of course this means if only I had purchased in pre-sale would it mean I would have yield more versus now trying to buy in the standard market. With no extra bonuses and still playing the odds of pulling a black card it is not enticing to me.
Its amazing to see almost 1/5 of the entire standard packs have already been sold and we are not even in second month of the new set. Looking ahead I do not imagine there will likely be insufficient purchases to have us encounter a day where 90% of the existing packs be burned. There is just a lot of demand.
Now planning ahead and what I will be executing on is buying more reward cards. I am saving up my Glint for one bulk purchase of legendaries in the upcoming new season. With end of seasons rewards I would have enough Glint to buy four legends. These will be my very first legends in the current reward format. For months I have been focusing on commons and rares but now with most of my cards max leveled I have started focusing on epic. The epics are coming along but I wanted to spice things up a bit and build up some legendary. I currently only have one and have used it a couple of matches.
Looking at current market prices and seeing legendary rewards at over $10 / bcx it seems well worth it to try building out legendary collection now. I would only get a handful each season but it would be a good start to aiming of maxing out the cards.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!

I am wondering what I should do. The prices haven't dropped enough so the starter packs still look a bit appealing. It makes me wonder if I should buy starter packs and then buy individual cards after.
If I remember when Chaos came out I started slowly adding cards. The time to get competitive is the beginning. Slowly adding cards won’t get good ROI. I am going to wait a couple seasons to see if prices remain high. Summoners for rebellion is falling so that has some potential.
