A Ton Of Energy!
I maybe an early adapter to Splinterlands but am a slow learner. It was just recently that I realize that each of the leagues is running on their own energy bars.
This would mean players can play Frontier, Modern, Wild and Survival in a single day worth net close to 100 battles consistently, but assuming they win enough in Survival to have cards to play in the following day. That is a lot of energy capacity for players to have.
For me the past three or four seasons I have been only playing Frontier and Survival. Now knowing the energy bar is not really shared I can try playing in the remaining leagues just to catch some Glint and rewards where possible.
This also makes more sense to me why Frontier is not as active as I thought, where I notice there were not many Foundation cards in circulation. This is likely because top players or whales are spending their time in Modern + Wild to earn more while Frontier incentives by comparison is only a fraction. However this margin in incentives may shrink in the future if Foundation cards become more valuable in the future when it goes out of print or the something else that just boosts the set's value.
With a ballpark currently of ~19,000 Foundation cards currently on the open market versus ~41,000 Conclave cards. One is free while the latter is paid for to have. Of course this is somewhat distorted because Conclave has been out longer and method of earning each type is different. The former through play to earn while the latter spend to earn.
Again nice to see there is large amount of energy for an individual account to have for playing as long as they have sufficient amount of cards to be competitive. It was not like this in past seasons where we had only Modern and Wild. Back then both would share the same fixed 50 energies and players could easily drain down to zero. Now its almost like there is no cap if we think about it. In Survival if a player rarely loses any of their cards in battle they can go really high in the ranks to achieve more prizes. Then more prizes equates to more cards and so forth. A positive feed back loop for the player.

I didn't realize that the energy bar was separate for each category. However, the time for each fight is still quite long so I doubt that I would be able to drain both down to zero either.
