When Leaders Fail, Why Must Citizens Bleed?
I woke up this morning wanting to write on the Huve learner prompt. I went to their Discord server, checked out today's prompt after reading it. I paused for a while, and my mind drifted somewhere else. The first thought that came to mind was why I felt like the prompt itself was referring to World War.

You know according to the stories spoken about world wars like attacking each other's country but the innocent citizens will have to suffer part of the attack whereby the victims are those in power but their poor citizens would be victims of the attack which I thought came to my mind dont judge me here it's just the simple me and my rational thinking.
Anyway let's get back to the prompt **Should Citizens of a country be made to suffer for the rash decision of their leaders?
Honestly, if you look at it from one angle, it feels completely unfair. Why should people who had no hand in making the decision be punished for something they didn't control? Most citizens are just trying to live their lives go to work take care of their families and survive the daily struggles of life. So when a leader makes a reckless decision and suddenly sanctions come in or global backlash starts, who ends up suffering? The citizens of course.
But at the same time if you look at the situation closely you can also say the citizens are also responsible too. After all, they voted the leader they want into power. Whether the decision comes out good or bad the consequences come back to the people who made that choice it's like we all play a role directly or indirectly.
But here is the real issue what about those who didn't vote? Or citizens who voted against the leader? Or young people who weren't old enough to vote? Should they also be held responsible?
So what’s the answer to the question? Honestly,Citizens shouldn’t have to suffer for the rash decisions of their leaders, yet in the real world they often do. The fair thing would be a world where leaders alone face the consequences of their actions—but we’re not there yet. Until then, the best thing people can do is stay aware, stay involved, choose wisely, and never underestimate the power their voice holds—because at the end of the day, the direction of a country will always come back to its people, one way or the other.
Once it comes to democracy we have to be careful of who we appoint as our leader to lead of a leader makes one wrong the world see it as a whole country we are the backbone of a leader and whatever decision a leader makes we have to follow cause even mistakes.
In the end a system that punishes citizens more than leaders is fundamentally flawed. Leaders make decisions, but citizens carry the consequences on their backs.

It is quite unfortunate sometimes but i will say that the character of the leaders is the reflection of its people.
It's quite disheartening that we suffer always for their mistakes
