Fairy Tales, Childhood Beliefs, and Growing Up

Hello dear Ladies of Hive community,
The Fairy Tale That Filled My Childhood with Dreams
When I was a little girl, my favorite fairy tale was Cinderella. Like many children, I was fascinated by the magic, the fairy godmother, the beautiful dress, and the idea that kindness could eventually be rewarded.
At that age, I believed almost everything the story told. I imagined that miracles could happen overnight and that there would always be someone who could make our dreams come true with a wave of a magic wand.
As I grew older, I realized that real life is very different from fairy tales. There are no magical shortcuts or enchanted pumpkins waiting for us. Instead, there is hard work, perseverance, patience, and the support of the people who genuinely care about us.
Even so, I don't think those stories were a waste of time. They taught me to believe in hope, to value kindness, and to remember that difficult moments do not last forever. Perhaps the magic was never in the fairy godmother, but in the courage to keep moving forward.
Something I Believed as a Child
When I was a child, I believed that becoming an adult meant life would become easier.
I thought adults had all the answers, could solve every problem, and were free to do whatever they wanted. From a child's perspective, adulthood looked simple and exciting.
Of course, life eventually showed me something different. Being an adult means making decisions, accepting responsibilities, facing uncertainty, and learning from mistakes. It is not always easy, but it is also deeply rewarding.
Today I understand that growing up is not about having a perfect life. It is about becoming stronger, wiser, and more grateful for every lesson along the way.
Looking back, I smile at those childhood beliefs because they remind me of the innocence with which we all begin our journey through life.

Hola querida comunidad de Ladies of Hive,

The grass always looks greener on the other side. As children we all feel adulthood is so nice and there is so much freedom in it, but when we come to that stage then we understand that it was the childhood which was blissful
