My Story Of Time Management.
You see that individual or being who stipulated 24 hours as a day, that peron did not do well at all, he/she didn't consider people like me😁. People like me who starts their day with their phone in hand and alarm blaring, people like me who have a very long to-do list and still find themselves on WhatsApp reading old chats, voice notes and scrolling through status updates of friends.
Of a truth, there was a time I and time had a complicated relationship. One moment it's like I’ve mastered it...woke up early, did devotion, wrote something smart, come on hive and post, then go out to help a caterer or go to make frames for customers, and even give response to messages, I still have time to reply anonymous messages from people wanting ome thing or the other. I do feel on top. But then, the next day you see me struggling to get out of bed at 10 a.m, I would be busy scrolling through different reels and telling myself “You need rest, take your time, rest is also a part of productivity.”
To the question...Is 24 hours enough? Not really. Not in a country (Nigeria) like mine. Half of the day would have already gone into fixing small problems, problems that shouldn’t show up....gas begins to malfunction, thereby delaying deliveries, no light, no water, no network. You would want to write and post something, but then no light and network starts to fluctuate like....You finally get light to charge your phone, but client is already angry and has even given a bad review already, you decide to settle for writing but then again, you neighbor decides to play music very loudly and you can’t even think straight again....This is my day today in just few words🥹🥹.
Somewhere along the line, I realized it’s not about having more hours added, it's about deciding and choosing what truly matters. Now, I start my day with the most important thing... I pray, I do certain chores, do some sit ups, I write( that's if there's no early catering work to go for), I chek on myself as well. And then, I attend to others. I do myself first and not the other way round, we live in a world where if you don’t guard your time and use it wisely people will use and waste it for you.
There are anonymous messages I have to respond too as well, there's the online class I attend too, and when I finish my tasks for the day, that's if it ever happens, I don’t I'm try to impress anyone, I just rest. I sit in silence, or laugh while watching funny videos, there are times I even go offline just to feel like myself again.
There are things I know consider as a waste of time; Forcing friendships that drain me.l, arguing on the Internet, worrying myself over what other people think of me. And also, I no longer wait for the perfect time to do things, I believe there's no perfect times, they only come/show up by luck, that particular moment could be the perfect timing for what you want to do.....
Might sound funny though but I met a lady recently, she's a customer smd a beauty at that, she's a nurse and she stays nearby, I never knew she was just running a program there, not until yesterday I talked with her and requested for her number and she gave it out, I never wanted to ask before, I was hoping to find a perfect time and a time when I will be well dressed and composed, but then I did, there and then I got to know she would be traveling back today....what if I had wait for what I thought to be the perfect time, the perfect time would have given me her absence. Perfection is a delay tactic. Just start it anyhow, start now, and if it goes south, you would fix it on the way.
I sometimes procrastinate too, but also I am a fighter. You can't expect someone like me who had lost years to sickness and still made it out to not see time as a treasure. To me, time is treasure, because I know what it feels like to be stuck in a position while moves on without you.
The truth is, time is a double agent;, A thief when ignored and a gift when used well. So, I plan to use every minute of the day well.
If you happen to read this and you've been postponing your dreams and certain things, here's a reminder that one day you will wish you had started today. Time is nobody's mate, so trest it with respect and sense.
Also, bro to bro....Shoot your shot today, she might travel tomorrow😁😁.
Do have a wonderful day ahead y'all.

Nice write up
Thanks a lot.
I also agree with the fact it is not about how many time you get but more about how you much you are willing to do with it. Because to be honest, if you like give some people more than 24 hours in a day they will still not do the things that are expected of them and will still procastinate.
Exactly sir.
It's definitely about how well we make use of it.
