Crypto Confused Me — But I Learned.

Now, let's be very honest. Truthfully speaking, crypto has confused a lot of us. One minute it seems to be the very best thing and the easiest way to turn one's life around and in the next minute you're looking at your wallet as if it's not yours, you began asking yourself various questions, ",why did I invest here, I should have waited a little bit, who sent me to buy this coin...." Believe me, I've had those moments too. I am not a pro, and I've had a times where I almost uninstalled every crypto related app on my phone.

Now, is crypto still worth it. This is personal as I've seen both sides.

The very first time I invested and bought some, believe me, I didn't know what I was doing. It was via a group I joined on Whatsapp then, they kept dropping updates and various things. Well, that particular one caught me because it was hyped and promised to do so well. And that was how I rushed in, am sure you know how it definitely ends, I rushed out 😁. It kept dipping as if....it didn't even encourage me at all, being a fist timer. I felt foolish for going into it. And that was my first lesson disguised as a mistake. Crypto isn't a shortcut to some overnight success.

Now, crypto is worth it, not just the way most people often hype it as if it was some "Abrakadabra" (magic). Crypto isn't quick money, it's something you really need to study and be very patient with. Crypto is a financial tool, yea, and we all know tools only work when we know how to use them.

So, that was how I began to learn, little by little. I read about various ones, I read about bitcoins, how it was doing well, why people actually trust it and all, I read and study some other ones. I began to learn what a friend of mine would always refer to as "market behavior." I learned about volatility, watched videos and all, I actually took my time to learn and stopped chasing and investing in pumps and all. So, for some time, I did nothing but learn. Learn too.

I'm still learning. Let me add this, from my own standpoint as a Nigerian, I can tell you for free that crypto is still worth it. Do you even know what the economy is like presently? Do you realize how frustrated our system is? Our financial system itself is stressing us, talking of their various charges, maintainance fees, bank limits, inflation and even our not always stable currency. Personally, I save a little in USDT to protect my money from losing value. Not an advise, it's just what works for me.

The truth also is that crypto is one that needs to be approached with care, patience and sense. Don't rush, don't follow the hypes, make your research, and refuse to be pressured. Believe me, crypto only becomes worth it when you approach it the way I said earlier, while focusing on long-term coins and investing what you know you can afford. It's important to do some research and learn before buying and be very patient. Also, I am not claiming to know it all, and I very well understand that many people have lost money in crypto,(I have lost too) and their experiences are valid.

Permit me also to say this, crypto won't solve all of the problems, but it will help build something steady over time, and that will only be achievable when you remove the various fantasies and face the real reality. Some quit out of frustration, some decided to learn and have more understanding of it. Choose to learn and understand it, there you will find peace.
