Beyond The Classroom.

While still in school, I remember a certain day I was so lost in thought. I was just thinking about how everything is and what exactly it is I'm even learning. I was staring at the lecturer and I'm sure he will be thinking I'm so serious not knowing I wasn't even hearing him anymore.

Now, it's not as if I'm lazy or wasn't paying attention in school, no. I go to class, take notes, read, do tests and exams, have good grades and all... But still, it feels like... I don't even know 🤷.

My friend always complain, he will be like "can't we gather all the money we're spending on schooling and use it for something else?" "Is it worth it?" And a lot of different things...and in all honesty I very well understand him.

We pay school fees, buy handouts, pay for this, pay for that, spend in Cafes, and all, but when it comes to doing the main thing, the real deal of life, we are on our own, when it comes to surviving, thinking, building, and growing a thing ... We are on our own.

And some are less concerned, a lot just wanted to pass and go, some as well go ahead to learn outside, learning a trade or a skill.... something that will just put them outside there to make them feel useful.

I'm not saying school is bad, school is very very good, but that kind of a thought is very dangerous. Because when we begin to think and feel school is a scam, then we will lose motivation and the will to continue.

Now here's the main message, school will/may not give us everything, but it can give us the foundation needed and even some other things. But we shouldn't rely on it, nor ignore it. We should make good use of education, get educated, go to school but then try as much as possible to build ourselves beyond it.
