Who was Tito?

Was a Yugoslav communist revolutionary, president of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia and Yugoslav statesman, who held various state functions from 1943 until his death in 1980.
During World War II, he was the leader of the Yugoslav Partisans, often considered the most effective resistance movement in occupied Europe.Josip Broz Tito was the only Supreme Commander in World War II who personally led his soldiers into battle. He was wounded in the battle on Sutjeska in June 1943.

Tito was a proponent of an independent path to socialism (sometimes called "national communism"). In 1951, he implemented a system of self-government, which distinguished Yugoslavia from other socialist countries.Also, Yugoslavia was not part of the Eastern Bloc - Warsaw Pact.
During his political career, he was a very popular and respected figure, both at home and abroad.

At the height of the Cold War, he founded the Non-Aligned Movement with a few other famous statesmen.He gained great international fame as the main leader of the Non-Aligned Movement, alongside Jawaharlal Nehru, Gamal Abdel Nasser and Ahmed Sukarno.

This coin has been in my family's possession for a long time. My father bought it a few years after it was issued.
