Skakavac Waterfall

For the Wednesdaywalk challenge this time I prepared a family walk,
we decided to go to the Skakavac waterfall - Grasshopper waterfall
The waterfall is located 7 kilometers from Loznica.
I have about 150 kilometers to Loznica itself from my place.
Most of the road is a highway or regional road, so the road was relatively fast. The waterfall itself is located not far from the village of Budimlija. The road from Loznica to the village is also relatively good.
But when you get closer to the village, the road is reduced to only one lane and you have to be careful.
The tourist association has put up several signs so it is not a problem to find the waterfall.
I drove as far as there was an asphalt road, I parked the car on the extension so as not to obstruct the passage. and from there the road starts covered with gravel.
Google map shows 1500 m to the waterfall.
And that is where we started our little walk.
Soon you come to a fork in the road and you cross over to a forest road | there were no signs but with the help of the kind people who live there they directed us to the right side.

They immediately saw that this area was full of water and streams.
We set off with all the necessary equipment. But we heard from locals that the Budimlija stream where the waterfall is located has almost dried up.
It was a bit of a disappointment for our.

Only the stream bed seemed dry.
There was a little water in some places
But maybe we were lucky . because if the stream was full of water We would need boots , maybe even fishing boots
because it really does look like there was a wild stream here

Although Google Maps is no longer helpful in the mountains, we managed to find the waterfall by following the stream, and with advice from local people on which way to go.20250824_131016.jpg

After the dry season, little water flows down this waterfall. Both my son and I were a little disappointed.

But that was no reason not to enjoy the beautiful nature and the waterfall that is almost 8 meters high.
