En esta oportunidad para el concurso de arte Splinterlands semana 369, me he inspirado en Quokka felíz, a simple vista se ve como una criatura bastante tierna pero se decribe como feroz, además va mordiendo una mazorca de maíz, esta parte es la que más me ha llamado la atención, por lo que decidí recrearla a través de las manualidades. Una vez mostrando el arte en limpiapipas.

This time for the Splinterlands week 369 art contest, I was inspired by Happy Quokka. At first glance, he looks like a rather cute creature, but he's described as ferocious. He's also biting an ear of corn. This part caught my attention the most, so I decided to recreate it through crafts. I then showed the art on pipe cleaners.

Realicé la mazorca de maíz en limpiapipas, en Pinterest también puedes encontrarla, es súper fácil de realizar y queda muy bonita, está figura representa a la criatura Quokka, espero les guste el resultado, a continuación les muestro los materiales y el paso a paso.

I made the corn on the cob out of pipe cleaners, you can also find it on Pinterest, it is super easy to make and looks very pretty, this figure represents the Quokka creature, I hope you like the result, below I show you the materials and the step by step.

Paso a paso / Step by step

Debemos reunir todos los materiales a utilizar, voy a comenzar a cortar una pequeña hoja de reciclaje y la voy a enrollar debe quedar delgada con una medida de unos 7 a 8 cm, voy a cubrir con adhesivo transparente. La medida es de acuerdo al tamaño que quieras realizar, esta será mediana.

We need to gather all the materials we'll use. I'll start by cutting a small sheet of recycled paper and rolling it up so it's about 7 to 8 cm thin. I'll cover it with clear adhesive. The measurement depends on the size you want; this one will be medium.

Ahora voy a seleccionar los limpiapipas color amarillo, voy a comenzar a cubrir el papel colocando pequeños puntos, cubrimos todo el papel y para ambas puntas voy a realizar dos círculos del mismo color y pegamos.

Now I'm going to select the yellow pipe cleaners, I'm going to start covering the paper by placing small dots, we cover the entire paper and for both tips I'm going to make two circles of the same color and glue them.

Ahora, en este paso es muy importante que selecciones un pincel grueso ya que todos los limpiapipas que vamos a pegar para formar la mazorca previamente debemos enrollar. Al principio pensaba en utilizar un bolígrafo pero quedaba muy grueso y debe ser más fino.

Now, in this step, it's very important to choose a thick paintbrush, since we'll need to roll all the pipe cleaners we'll be gluing together to form the corncob. At first, I thought about using a ballpoint pen, but it was too thick, so it needs a finer brush.

Comencé utilizando seis limpiapipas, pegamos con silicón uno al lado del otro, luego realicé los que me faltaron para cubrir toda la figura, luego de terminar de cubrir voy a tomar un limpiapipas y lo vamos a pegar en forma circular en la parte superior de la mazorca.

I started by using six pipe cleaners, glued them side by side with silicone, then I made the remaining ones to cover the entire figure. After finishing covering, I'm going to take a pipe cleaner and glue it in a circular shape on the top of the corncob.

El siguiente paso es realizar las hojas para la mazorca, voy a seleccionar tres limpiapipas color verde, dos de ellos lo voy a doblar en la mitad y el tercero lo voy a pasar entre los dos, giramos tres veces y unimos, verás como se ve puntiagudo en la parte superior.

The next step is to make the leaves for the corncob. I'm going to select three green pipe cleaners. I'm going to fold two of them in half, and I'm going to thread the third between the two. We'll twist them three times and join them together. You'll see how it looks pointed at the top.

Realicé dos hojas, cortamos el excedente y voy a ubicar en la mazorca en ambos lados, al momento de ubicar debes realizar un pequeño dobles en la parte inferior e intentar encajar antes de pegar, fácilmente lo realizas con ayuda del dedo, luego cortamos el excedente de ambas hojas y cubrimos con una mitad de limpiapipas esto para el sobrante de limpiapipas verde, las puntas de la hoja debe quedar mirando hacia afuera.

I made two leaves, cut off the excess and I'm going to place them on the corncob on both sides. When placing them, make a small fold at the bottom and try to fit them together before gluing. You can easily do this with your finger. Then, cut off the excess from both leaves and cover them with half a pipe cleaner. This is for the green pipe cleaner excess. The tips of the leaves should be facing outwards.

Y de esta forma finalicé la mazorca de maíz en limpiapipas, una idea fácil de realizar e inspirada en la carta del juego, incluso podrías tomar esta idea si la necesitas en algún momento, espero les haya gustado el final, muchas gracias por el apoyo a los miembros de la comunidad en general y de Splinterlands, me siento contenta de poder mostrar un poco más de la creatividad en cada carta y personaje.
