My Actifit Report Card: June 30 2026

Hey Actifitters,

The heat wave started yesterday, already warm outside when we woke up and it just kept creeping up from there. The final temperature measured was already pretty bad, in the mid-90s F, around 35C, but the worse part was the humidity. Because of it, the 'feels like' was easily above 100F! So you know us, we mostly stayed indoor, trying to get a few more steps with anything, a phone call, going up and down the stairs several times with no real reason, etc... But after the sun went down behind the trees, it was time for a short walk to the small forest.

I knew already the mosquitoes were going to be a nightmare, that's one of the side effects of this hot and humid weather, but we went further inside the forest anyways.

By the way, this is what it looked without night mode, already kind of dark, but still hot!

After just a few minutes and already a dozen mosquito bites, we continued with one more loop in the neighborhood.

And we finally walked back home where Le Chat was waiting for us. Even she is affected by the heat, she spends most her time in the dark below the deck, and I'm sure we'll see her more often inside in the next few days, she knows it's cooler inside.

Well, sorry but not sorry, I will complain about the heat! Like most people, our daily walks are a way to get fresh air, enjoy nature when we're lucky enough to live close to forests, but with this kind of weather, that is just not enjoyable at all. So heavy, so muggy, it feels like crawling through hot soup! And it will get worse this week...
