Shadow of a sunflower on the road/ Sombra de girasol en el camino 🌻 - Shadow Hunters Contest - SMASh 369 [ENG-ESP]

Hello, shadow friends!!!

I love walking and letting beauty surprise me. In the midst of everyday life, I witness wonderful events that no one notices except me. I think, in some way, such occurrences make me feel special and blessed; privileged would be the best way to describe them.

And this Monday in April, one of these "natural miracles" happened. As I was walking down the street, my gaze was caught by the shadows of a small patch of sunflowers I found along the way. I immediately grabbed my phone to try to capture the beauty of the event, and this is the result I can now share with you in terms of images: sunflowers projected onto the ground by the afternoon sun, with all the thirst for shadow, distinguished by their silhouette like an academic artist's drawing.

On another note, while I was selecting the photos I would ultimately include in the post, this poem, inspired by the shadows of sunflowers (my favorite flowers), emerged, still moved by the precious surprise.

I love shadows as an expressive and symbolic resource in my creative output, and even more so when they invade me from the physical plane into the spiritual realm, provoking verse. Here is the result:

A sun rolls,
the shadow sings
flowers in a spell
of silence.
Absent space
created by my eyes
to the elemental
spin of the earth.
Naked,
it reaches the other side,
so much
so that it merges
with me.

So, by dint of shadow and verse, I bid you farewell, wishing you the best of days.

He aquí el resultado:

Rueda un sol,
la sombra canta
flores en hechizo
de silencio.
Espacio ausente
creado por mis ojos
al giro elemental
de la tierra.
Desnuda
alcanza
el otro lado,
tanto
que se confunde
conmigo.

How could the sunflowers not bloom at your passing?
How could they not lower their crowns at your passing?
How could they not illuminate your footsteps with their shadows?

How can I not sigh when your light kisses me? How can I not reverence the sun that you are? My soul sings with the caress of your being. ❤️
