A call for Evangelism: living to do the will of God
The day i read ecclesiastical book of the Bible i came to know that there are time for everything on earth the Bible says the time for sad and time for joy , time to sow and time for harvest, time to birth and time to die and God in his creation created day and night that talks about time .
Believers are called to do the will of God while the are still alive on earth ,for the death know nothing and cannot do the will of God, it is the living that has the opportunity to do the will of God amend a sinful ways.
What is the will of God every believer ought to do ? as many that evangelise on the gospel to bring soul to the kingdom of God , living a life of purity, are doing the work of God, but the work of God needs to be done in the day for. Night comet.
No wonder why Jesus knowing the work of God he needed to do was taking to his disciples in the book of John chapter 9 vs 4-5 and the says that he must do the work of him (God) that send me while it is day for night comet when no man work . This is to tell believers , and readers of God's word that there is time(day and night) for everything on earth.
In verse 5 he go further to say as long as iam in the world iam the light of the world.
Jesus while he was on earth know too well a day is coming for his death , so he needed to do the will and the work of he that send him in the day when he is still alive and to finish it.
Jesus was in the work of bringing sinners to repentance , to set the captive free and to preach the word of the kingdom of God, for night(death )comet when no man work .
Jesus was talking about the opportunity which one has when there is life for death comes when man know nothing again and can do any work again, while judgement fellows
So believers are called to evangelism to preach the word of God and bring soul to repentance and deliver the captive with the power of the holy Spirit
While sinners are call to repentance while it is day (alive) for night (death )comet , because there is no repentance in the grave , the Lord is calling for believers work Evangelism to let sinners amend there ways, A call we must answer.
And may God mercy and love prevail in our life. Peace of God in our hearts till we see again.
