Overview

Today I brought a Wild battle where I will try to show you that choosing the right Summoners is similar or even more important than picking the right monsters! πŸ˜‡

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
FerocityAll units have the Fury ability.
Broken ArrowsRanged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.
Reverse SpeedMonsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

The mana cap for my next battle is 49, which is quite good, because I have much more options to choose from even thought the Broken Arrows ruleset will ban all the ranged attack monsters from this battle. 😁

The Reverse Speed ruleset is one of my favorite, because it allows me to use unorthodox strategies, because the lowest speed monsters will attack first and dodge the most of the enemy attacks. On top of that many times my opponents didn't pay enough attention to this and they make a mistake bringing speedy monsters.

The Ferocity ruleset will give the Fury ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, which will makes them to deal double damage against a monster with the Taunt ability. It is easy to counter this ruleset not bringing any mosnter with the Taunt ability. πŸ˜‡

My lineup

image.png
Possibilus the Wise cost 6 mana as a Summoner, which is almost the most expensive in the game, but in return he has three ability to give it to his monsters. He will increase the health of all of his friendly monsters by two and he also gives the Reach ability to them as well, which means that all the melee attack monsters from the second position will be able to attack. The Trample ability will provide an extra attack to his melee attack monsters in case they are able to kill an enemy monster. 😌
The Djinn Oshannus is one of the best tank in this game and I always like to use him in the first or second position of my lineup. I had to use him and not another melee monster, because he is well protected against the magic attack monsters thanks to his Void ability and he has decent amount of health as well. πŸ€—

The Coastal Sentry is the perfect pair with Possibilus the Wise, because she will receive the Reach ability, which will enable her to attack from the second position as a melee attacker with a lot of damage. She also has the Double Strike ability, so she will be able to attack twice in every round, which will make her more fiercesome. πŸ˜‡
I play the Demented Shark rarely, because he dies quick, so not a good tank, but he has the Inspire ability, which means that he is able to increase the melee attacks of all of his friendly monsters by one. πŸ˜‰

image.png
The Deeplurker is an amazing monster especially on higher levels, because he has high damage and the Trample ability, which is perfect for this battle to get an extra attack against the next target after he kills an enemy. His main ability is the Opportunity, which means that he will attack the lowest health monster in each round. 😁
The Merdaali Guardian will be an excellent addition to my team, because she is able to Heal the first monster in my lineup and on top of that she will also receive three melee attack damage from Kulu Mastermind. Even though she can not attack from her position she will have a nice amount of damage if she reaches the second position. 😜

The Kulu Mastermind is a very special monster, because he has the Weapons Training ability, so he will give his own attack to the non-attack monsters adjacent of him. Thanks to his Opportunity ability he will be able to attack from the back of my backline and try to use his Trample ability at his best. πŸ˜‡

My opponent brought Pembrook Nymph, who is able to bring ond additional Gladiator monster into this battle, because they have the Bloodlust ability, which is almost the strongest ability in the game. She also gives +1 health to her monsters, which is not a big deal, but the Bloodlust might worth it to play her. πŸ˜‹

The first round was crazy, because both side of the teams were doing heavy attacks against each other and luckily my Kulu attacked their Venari Wavesmith who had the lowest health and by killing him they lost their +2 armor from him and on top of that Kulu received an extra attack as well.

The second round started very badly for us, because I lost my tank and one of the most important damage dealer (Coastal Sentry) and their Flagulon Reine managed to use her Bloodlust ability to increase her own stats twice. 😣

Soon after my team killed their tank as well and Kulu who did the killing blow got another attack against their Nerissa removing her half health.

In the beginning of the third round their Nerissa died against my Deeplurker who instantly attacked their Reine with his extra attack, but she was still looking dangerous with her Blast damage.

Just before this round was finished we lost our healer, but fortunately my Kulu targeted their Reine and finally killed her even though he missed his free attack against their Deeplurker. 😏

In the first round I lost my Shark and his important melee attack buff and their Deeplurker was higher levelled than mine he used his Poison ability as well to kill mine at the end of the fourth round.

My Kulu was the only one left in my team against two of their 'quicker' monsters, but without the Trample ability he couldn't defeat them at all, so luckily my Summoner was able to win this battle for me. πŸ˜‡

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy worked as I expected, because my opponent brought a lot of magic attack monsters, so using Djinn Oshannus as my tank would made him to soak up a lot of incoming magic damage using his Void ability.

Also using the Inspire ability on my Demented Shark was essential, because many times that one damage meant life or death when my monsters attacked their targets. 😊
