Splinterlands Land Gameplay Expansion!

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to this week's edition of Community Engagement Challenge! Splinterlands continue to upgrade the gaming experience of players. The new update is about land game play expansion. Developments on land has been awaited by land owners since it has been delayed in prior years. Now, it's hear and we're seeing prices of land go up in the market. Let's dive in to see the new release.
Land Cards
Cards that have specific utilities for lands can now be crafted. This is an exciting piece of development in the land game play. Land is no longer just producing resources. Now, land owners can use those resources to craft NFT cards that will have utility on land. The new cards will have abilities that affects land production, efficiency and worker management. This would bring another element in land game play as well as affect Splinterlands economy and tokens.
Similar to archons and units in battles, the land cards will have rarities of common, rare, epic and legendary. There will be a total of one hundred twenty five thousand (125,000) land cards to be mined. They will be divided in rarity as follows: One hundred thousand (100,000) common, eighteen thousand (18,000) rare, six thousand (6,000) epic and one thousand (1,000) legendary. The cards will be craftable within three months or until all copies are minted.
Card Abilities
Cards don't have stats but they have abilities depending on their levels. It has various boosts to production and discounts. There is also an ability at maxed level called Labor's luck that provides a chance to discover a Gold Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, Black Foil or Black Foil Arcane land card during plot harvest.
These are the land cards that I copied from the following post.
Common

At maxed level, the common card Tireless Farmhand provides a boost of 60% to grain production, 30% less rationating and 50% dark discount. It also unlocks the Labor's Luck ability.
Rare

At maxed level, the rare card Kinbound Druid provides a dark discount of 99%, 30% to toil and kin, 70% boost to wood production and unlocks the Labor's Luck ability.
Epic

At maxed level, the epic card Toiling Ox provides an 80% boost to grain and 85% to stone production, 20% to toil and kin, dark discount of 80% as well as unlocking the Labor's Luck ability.
Legendary

At maxed level, the legendary card Undying Miner provides an 100% boost to iron and aura production, 30% to toil and kin and dark discount of 99%. As usual, the Labor's Luck ability is unlocked at maxed level.
Since the land card provide boosts to production of different resources (grain, wood, stone, iron and aura), it's better to have copies of all cards and have a balanced resource production.
Cinder: A New Soul bound Currency Specific to Land
Cinder is needed to craft land cards. They can be obtained by burning unlocked cards with DEC burn value. It will take a lot of Cinder to craft cards depending on their rarities. A legendary card will cost 37,500 Cinder, epic will cost 5,625, rare will cost 1,875 and common will cost 375 Cinder. This is on top of other resources such as grain, wood, stone, iron and aura. In effect, this will introduce another deflationary mechanic to DEC which hopefully will start a flywheel effect and prop up the price of both SPS and DEC.
Final Thoughts
The new land cards are an exciting addition to Splinterlands Land game play. With this new mechanic, land owners can craft collectible cards that have in game utility. This will no doubt enhance the game's economy as it introduces new deflationary mechanic to DEC. I appreciate the progress the dev team has done for Splinterlands this year. The future is bright for our game.
