Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog! The Earth splinter is one of meta in Splinterlands. This is primarily because of the archon and her Bloodline Dominion ability, Execute. It's a powerful ability that allows elves to attack a target for a second time when its health has gone down to two or less after the first successful attack. I'll show how to create an effective line up of teams composed of elves.

A Typical Earth Splinter Team

My typical Earth team composition is made up of a strong front line tank, a Taunt unit and as much elven team members as possible. I use some filler units if there are no more slots for elves.

Warborn Chieftain

The Warborn Chieftain is an excellent tank. It's a tank that has both offensive and defensive capabilities. It deals four melee damage, has seven health and three speed. It has defensive abilities against physical and magic attacks. Shield decreases physical attacks by one while Phase allows it to dodge magical attacks. In high mana battles, the Warborn Chieftain is my regular tank when I choose the Earth splinter.

Grove Doomblade

Grove Doomblade has high melee attack of five. It has the Sneak ability so it decimates the enemy backline. Coupled with the Execute ability, it wrecks the enemy rear position quickly. It's slow with only one speed so we need to combo it with a unit that buffs speed.

Silverleaf Warlock

The Silverleaf Warlock deals two magic damage. It has five health and three speed. He has the Swiftness ability that gives additional speed to the whole team. This allows the team to attack first or dodge enemy physical attacks.

Bale Palesworn

Bale Palesworn is not an elf but he has the Shapeshift ability that enables him to benefit from Bloodline Dominion buffs of all archons. He has dual attack of ranged and melee. He also has the Sneak ability that's a good combo with Grove Doomblade. Together, they sneak from behind the enemy rear position and decimate the enemy's damage dealers.

Silverleaf Mage

The Silverlear Mage is a capable damage dealer with three ranged attacks. She has the Taunt ability that draws attacks from the tank and damage dealers. She has great defense to absorb damage in her role as Taunt unit. She has two armor and ten health that will last for several rounds before she gets defeated.

Enemy Team and Battle

The enemy has the Death splinter led by a Frontier archon. His units are capable and at high levels. His team is composed of dual tanks followed by strong damage dealers and a healer. He has a unit that dampens magic attacks and another unit that slows my team.

The enemy has a strong front line. Luckily, I had two sneak attackers that attacked the enemy rear units. My team did damage to back line where the damage dealers and debuffers were. Meanwhile, the enemy was taking time to defeat my Taunt unit, allowing my other units to survive and do damage. My strategy worked and got the victory.

Final Thoughts

There are more builds depending on the bloodlines. I've seen teams composed of Ulunds that are effective in Lost Magic rulesets. In Going the Distance ruleset where ranged units only are allowed, the Death or Water teams with Conclave Arcana archons are the ideal units to choose. This is what makes Splinterlands a fun game.
